Soccajoeys

Honestly I used to love Soccajoeys as a program and in some ways I still do:• the skills they learn are useful• warm up games are fun, inclusive, and also develop listening skills• they play a 'big game' in the last half of each session which extends and strengthens skills in an ability diverse way.My only issue has been in the second term my son did where an obviously younger child (preschool: 3-5) was allowed into the junior (6-8) session because his older brother is in this group. He's been disruptive to the point of actively hurting other children yet nothing is done by staff or parents.As a teacher, a mother of a child with impulse control issues, and someone paying for a safe and supportive class this was just hugely disappointing and I've struggled with attending the sessions this term.Obviously this won't be a problem for everyone and it's not an indictment on the program itself but it's certainly something that plays into my decision to not take my son back for another term.

Soccajoeys is an excellent place to teach your child soccer. Highly recommend it.
