Truly grateful for the wonderful staff that were at Wyong Emergency on Tuesday evening. They attended to my son immediately and when the doctors advised I needed to take him to Gosford Emergency they called through so the staff there knew all about what was happening upon our arrival. I have only ever received the best care whenever I have needed to attend ER and hope the staff see this and know how thankful I am for their service.

Went in this evening for my partners ankle - he was triaged, x-rayed and seen within an hour. All staff along the visit were polite and friendly. Special mention to Peter the Physiotherapist that saw my partner. He was fantastic, professional and showed great care. Thank you Wyong Hospital.I myself have also had a previous admission (during peak covid) and all staff were amazing during my stay. I was reassured and put at ease throughout the whole process from ED, to surgery to service on the ward. Thank you.

Just spent 3 days in there. From the moment I got there till the moment I left couldn't of asked for better treatment. Especially the nurses on H5..... All the staff from domestic up to the Drs was friendly and nothing was too much for them. Even under immense pressure they still took the time to discuss what your problem was. Huge ticks to all of you. From lady in emergency with computer to triage nurse l, Ed team, specialists and all the nursing staff and domestic staff. A huge thank you to the young lady on her break who took time out of her meal break to take me back up to level 5 last night....

If I could give a 0/5 review I would, the emergency department at this hospital is absolutely disgraceful. It’s not the nurse or doctors Faults, but something needs to change. So many high need patients are ridiculously left in the waiting room for anywhere between 4-10 hours, at the same time people are in their for heart issues and they’re attending to peoples with leg grazes first.. I’ve seen meth clinics function better than this place.

My wife has just spent time in Surgical 3D at Wyong Hospital. We found the staff, doctors, cleaners & all aspects of this unit an incredible experience of professionalism enthusiasm and compassion. The hospital was immaculately clean and the carewe received was first class. Congratulations to a team of staff that work together to be able to give their patients nothing but the best. Well done!

I bought my adult daughter in with an absess on her thumb. We waited more than 9 hours with various tests happening in that time and give nothing but praise to Doctor Gabe, nurses and admin. Nola went above and beyond, made everyone's visit comfortable and kept all updated on their progress as well as getting water if needed by people in waiting room. Consoled and entertained babies and children.... what an amazing lady she is. Thankyou very very much to everyone involved with our visit to emergency department

Nola the admin nurse making sure everyone is happy, informed and taken care of while your waiting. Absolute top shelf effort, it's normal that you wait a long time for emergency but this lady has made it as comforting as you can. What a legend

Have heard of two cases where in misdiagnosis occurred (apart from my own experience). That’s fine - I’ll brush that aside and give the team a benefit of doubt. However the line was crossed when my partner was refused treatment. He’d sliced the webbing between his thumb and index finger open and was told by a male nurse that due to the wound site, it would be difficult to suture and home management and bandage would suffice. The cut was a good 5mm deep. Ended up having it stitched up at a local GP hours later where they’d managed to fit us in.Pathetic form of care. A stitch up takes no more than 30 minutes at the most. A quick local to the site and off you go. No matter the severity, we prioritise it for our patients; as a veterinary nurse across all species. You’d expect better form of treatment from a human nurse rather than have your condition brushed aside. In addition, my misdiagnosis was a false interpretation of an xray. I was cleared for work the following day after being told I had suffered soft tissue injury. Received a phone call the following day just to be told I had a fracture in my T11 and T12 vertebrae.Looks like these guys need a break from being incapacitated. Save yourself the hassle and try another public hospital instead.

Some of the nurses were great, but others were condescending and absolutely judgmental. Being unable to access GPs which resulted in eventual hospitalisation isn't the patient's fault when appointments are cancelled overnight or not for another three weeks. The healthcare system has gone downhill and blaming the sick for what's happening to them is just ridiculous.
