Dishonest and untrustworthy. Do not buy second hand from this dealer. The sales people are unprofessional, kept us waiting an hour (after we travelled 6 hours for the appointment) to start the survey and sea trial then hurried the surveyor to finish. Didn't even apologise for being late. When asked directly if the boat had impact damage we were told no, it did not. I asked twice as we were trying to understand how the damage in the bilge had occurred. He didn't say he didn't know, he said there was no evidence of impact damage, but thanks to the surveyor I have the photos to prove there was. When lifted for survey the impact damage was massive. We were told the keel had been dropped and reattached, only problem there was the layers and layers of built up antifoul were still in tact, so we were lied to there as well. Being cast iron the keel would need stripping right back to safely check the keel, judging by the condition of the keel it could be cracked badly. I really hope no one sails the boat before checking that. One similar case killed 4 people and landed people in gaol.

I purchased Minnow new from Performance Boating and through the warranty phase and subsequently servicing I have had good and reliable response from the PB team. During the warranty phase, Damo" found fiberglass faults that only an expert would notice and had these fixed under warranty. Would recommend!"

One of the best decisions I ever made was buying a SO349 from Performance Boating Services. The yacht has met all my expectations and more. I recall attending the boat show a few years back armed with a spreadsheet to compare all the brands available in the size range. The SO349 stood out as the best on show, no wonder it is one of the best selling yachts on the market today.We have had some great success in twilight’s including a series win. The sailing qualities are fantastic, the twin rudders stop the boat from rounding up and simply powers ahead in a stiff breeze. It’s an easy boat to sail and performs extremely well upwind. The interior layout is great, and the separate enclosed shower is luxury for those weekends away. The cockpit is spacious and with the drop down transom even roomier and great for family outings with friends. Whether racing or cruising you won’t be disappointed. There is also great camaraderie amongst the 349 owners around the harbour. Jay from PBS has put a lot of effort into facilitating the SO349 sailing fraternity encouraging everyone to participate in racing and getting the best out of their SO349.With such a large investment it’s important that you are dealing with a reputable company. After having the yacht for 4 years I can still contact PBS for advice and their customer service and support is 2nd to none. Damo the service manger is fantastic always willing to spend time to provide assistance and help organise annual maintenance. The continued advice, support and sailing functions provided by Lee and his team at PBS is the cream on the cake.It’s my absolute pleasure to recommend the Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 349 and the team at PBS.Jeff M.
