Blue Hippo Laundry - Northcote

NOTE: You specifically need two $1 coins to get laundry detergent. They have removed the bar seats to sit on and work on your laptop while waiting. No power outlets to charge items while waiting. Free wifi but no password provided.I came to this laundromat because I thought I could work on my laptop while waiting, but couldn't for the above reasons. Also came here because the website said it takes EFTPOS but that is only for the machine itself, not detergent. Washing came out fine

Blue Hippo Laundry is AWESOME! Great, clean facility with lovely machines that work well and are taken care of. I love that it has the ATM card option, as I never have coins on me.I just recently took my floor rug to be washed in one of their huge kilo washes. It has washed the rug beautifully and it looks brand new! Only took 23 minutes and the prices here are very reasonable.It was so nice to see a laundromat that was cleaned and looked after, rather than having broken machines and machines taking your money, like most other laundromats do.Will 100% return to Blue Hippo!

Brilliant place for quick household washes to doona washes. I washed my queen sized doona in 23 minutes for $10 and then popped it in the dryer for 14 minutes for just $2. Drying comes in 7 minute block for $1. Doona came out spotless, fresh smelling and perfectly dry. So quick too! Will definately be back.

Really good prices and very clean. New machines and everything working well. Pay by card or coins. Convenience machines available, bit of bench space and a few chairs. Only problem is the minimum time to dry clothes is like 45 minutes. Recommend!

I visit this laundry on weekends mostly to dry my already washed clothes. It delivers what it says it is mostly very clean and modern unlike the other old-school laundries in the area.Card usage is a plus you can use your card in the washers and dryers.every machine has no pet towels to be washed instruction which is great as you don't really want that lol. People hesistare to use Communal laundries for this reason .The biggest advantage for me is it is attached to the Northcote plaza giving me accces to Coles and Woolworths. So I can go away Shope for the week while my laundry is being done. .there is even an exit straight to the carpark . You could even get a haircut next to the laundry .while all this is great nothing additional is being done hence my reluctance to give 5 stars .overall great job

Paying with card $6 minimum for drying is too much especially when you don’t bring much clothes. Customers should be given the freedom on how much to spend when drying. There are much cheaper laundromats around the area. First and last time coming here…

As soon as I walked into the Northcote laundromat I was immediately impressed by the cleanliness of the store. The machines looked brand new (all of them were working) and the payment options were simple and easy to follow. The wash cycles were really quick and the dryers were pretty cheap. I will definitely be returning to the Northcote store, especially now as we head into winter! It’s great to know we have a local laundromat that is well-kept and feels fresh and clean.

Exceptionally clean laundromat with modern machines that wash and dry super fast.All machines working and each machine has eftpos facilities.

Clean venue. Great size washing machines and dryers. Clean benches to fold washing.
