Melton Smash Repairs

Went from a really good experience to a bad one very quickly. Seemed heaps friendly and helpful then took me a month to even get a day to have my car quoted as they lost photos and I had to go in again and then when I finally did I was quoted a ridiculous amount and got it quoted somewhere else about 4 grand less and when I tried to question why it was so expensive I was fobbed off. Feel completely taken advantage of and screwed around before I even got my car in, glad I went elsewhere. I hope their work is better than their service because it’s been 3 weeks since I finally got it in and they still haven’t even sent the quote to my insurer even though they have told me they have multiple times. Super unorganised and a bit of a rort is my experience sadly as they seemed so genuine at first.

I chose this place based on other reviews and i can honestly say i was treated so well. My window fell into my car door and they did a repair job for me and were so kind about it I was just gobsmacked. Thank you to the gentleman who helped me today and who showed me such kindness and generosity. I'm new to the Melton area and I can assure you if my car needs work you will be the first place that I come to.

Brought in a spoiler to get quoted for paint, on Tuesday 30/11/2021 and they quoted me $250 which is fair, they promised me the job would be done on Thursday, I came on Thursday to pickup my spoiler and they said it was in primer (very important point) and that it would be done on Friday. Called up on Friday and they said it needed more repair and that it would be done on Monday, called up on Monday and IT STILL WASN'T DONE and told me to come on Tuesday. I came to pickup my spoiler on Tuesday the job was done although it was a very sub par job, it had a wavy uneven finish. and they wanted $350 instead of the $250 they quoted earlier cause they claimed that it needed more repairs done that's why they took till Tuesday and that's why they want an extra $100, But remember when i came on Thursday they claimed that my spoiler was already in primer and if you know anything at all about panel beating, the process of repair of the item is done before it gets sprayed with primer. After a long tiring argument we came to an agreement to pay $320. Then the boss gave me back another $20 so i ended up paying $300. They are money hungry crooks. The lady in the front is very rude. Bad paint & prep job, bad customer service, bad waiting time. STAY FAR AWAY!

Do not get your car repaired from here. Went to them for a quote. Said they wouldn’t be able to do a job that looked like new, and that it would cost $1500 plus a brand new bumper. Absolute rip off. Went to smash repairs south Melbourne, did the job for $800 and you can’t even tell the car had been damaged

I had my car repaired here. They kept me up to date throughout the process and they even detailed my car once it was finished! They also gave me 50% off my excess without me even asking. Would definitely go back and highly recommend!

My landcrusier was damaged in a small accident I was recommended to take my car to Melton Smash Repairs, they arranged the paperwork and hire car made my experience very relaxing. Picked up my car it looked like new highly recommend Chris and his staff merry xmas to you all.

Please don't go here, worst customer service, no updates, you have to keep calling them to know the status, since they provide a hire car through another service, they tell you, keep using the hire car even for 2 years or more.Ultimately after many visits and calls when you get the car fixed you need to go back again to get wheel balancing done or something they missed. No cleaning outside or inside after keeping the car for almost 1 year. Very bad customer service wouldn't recommend or go there ever.
