Had my VE Calais serviced before heading to Bathurst next month. Today a clip blew off the trans cooler line. Cost me another $120 for a tow and $235 for repairs at Aldinga, which is where I live. Rang Ben who explained they don't replace that clip (which was warped). They only check it isn't leaking. Glad this didn't happen in the middle of Hay Plain, NSW whilst towing my caravan. I work from home so normally the car is only driven locally.

My car is at DRW for the second time in 12 months. First time they did a full transmission rebuild in Jan-March 2022. It took 9 weeks and I paid $5000. Started playing up 6 months later. My car has now been at the workshop since November 2022. On December 10 I was told that it was fixed and ready to go (another $1000). 25 km down the road the car breaks down and needs to be towed. 3 months later and I'm still waiting. Countless phonecalls made by me and a complaint lodged with the RAA. This is not good enough. I will never use this mechanic again.

Was given a reasonable estimate for transmission repair which then became close to a full rebuild after further inspection. Despite the extra work and parts required, the job was competed within the original estimate. Couldn't recommend Ben and his team more highly.

The guys got me sorted with a performance transmission service, more knowledgeable and flexible than my local service center. Was worth my travel from the country to get the faults diagnosed and sorted.

Sent my VF Commodore in for a basic trans service and install of a hi-stall converter. Get car given back spewing trans fluid from the input shaft seal incorrectly replaced. They take the box out again and fix it in a timely manner which is the only good thing I can say. 16 months later the torque converter is loose and rattling in the box. This was basic trans work done incompetently
