I rarely write reviews, however after my visit to see Nikki & DJ today I believe this is warranted. I have been frequenting this salon for over 10 years and each time I always leave feeling special and refreshed with a new look or a good touch up, colours, cuts,facials and just pure pampering on the menu. I never know what I want and always leave it upto DJ which is strange for me considering I am a true Arian and always know what I want. Arriving with long out of control hair and leaving with a complete new look and short feels so good.Its good to know you can rely on professionals that are not only honest and genuine but always so friendly welcoming and never judgemental. The salon today bought back fond memories of my younger years growing up on the farm, Nikki will relate to this so if you are wondering what I am referring to just make sure you ask next time you are in. Thanks for that chat today and the new look. See you soon.Oh I nearly forgot to mention Team Suedes fussy little Charlie who today was obviously in a mood of his own ignoring me.

I wouldn't go anywhere else! Nikki did an amazing job with the kids first ever haircuts today, so patient and caring, they loved it and the results are gorgeous. It is such a pleasure to spend time on this beautiful salon.

Had a very poor experience, would suggest avoiding at all costs. Asked very clearly for a lighter colour than my natural roots (medium brown) and ended up with verging on black hair. Salon was very defensive and did not care to make the effort to fix the issue. I was told they would bleach my hair immediately to try and rectify the problem, so I walked all the way back to be told they didn’t have time and only offered a partial refund after many contradictions (only covering the cost of the colour itself showing no empathy for the experience). No genuine apologies and I am now going to have to get my hair fixed elsewhere. Such a shame because the salon had a really nice atmosphere and the massage at the start was amazing.

Visiting Cairns & stumbled upon Suede. DJ the Director/hairstylist provided excellent consultation regarding my hair type , ie the do’s & don’t. Followed by an excellent cut. Highly recommend (if you can get an appointment)

Fantastic place with Aveda products. Nikki was so accommodating, getting me in on very short notice, matched my colour from my Aveda salon in Canada, and gave me a great, no-nonsense cut and got me on my way without feeling rushed. Highly recommend! Thanks, Nikki & Suede :)

A really lovely salon that uses cruelty free products. I am really happy with my haircut and will definitely return. Also the tea is really great

Dj and Nikki at Suede have been amazing! My hair has never looked and felt to good, I have healthy ringlets like I did when I was a child from the incredible products that are used both through the colouring process and purchased instore. Its fantastic seeing other clients in the salon who are from Melbourne and Sydney to get thier hair done 'properly'.. I love that they are environmentally responsible and such amazing people. I had my makeup and hair done at the salon recently for a ball and they looked me look amazing! A one stop shop for looking gorgeous. ♥♥♥
