Returning to the Security Industry I found I had to re-sit my Certificate II in Security Operations. Previously I had done all my training with ASEC, and I contacted them straight away. I knew the Company had changed owners and location. My email contact was always dealt with quickly and concisely. When I went out to Mitchell to collect my pre-course training material, I was very impressed with the new facilities and the far better location. For me the off-street parking was a major bonus.Having now completed my Certificate II in Security Operations training with ASEC I can say it was the most organized and relevant training I have ever had. They were teaching us things I learnt over years of being a Security Guard. The training and staff at ASEC are clearly not churning out Security Guards, they are training and skilling up Security Officers.This training is a credit to Rod and all the experienced and wonderful people at ASEC. If you want to learn the skills to survive, thrive and be an asset to your employer I would suggest you look at one of these courses. I can see it not being long that Security Companies will prefer ASEC graduates.

Canberras BEST RTO. Got my certificate 2 for Security Operations, RSA, Whitecard and First Aid. Best decision I have ever made going through ASEC not only were the administrative staff absolutely wonderful (taking time out and lending me their shoulder and ear when I was having a panick attack about the final exam, thank you ladies) but the CEO and the Trainers treat their students like family. I have never been through an RTO that makes you feel like you are part of something bigger. They prepare you the best they can for the job. I will be back for my Cert 3 and I cannot wait. Thank you for everything ASEC

ASEC are very professional and focused on giving you quality training and producing high standard security guards. The staff and trainers are also flexible and have a good sense of humour. Training is very informative and also a lot of fun. I highly recommend!

Completed the cert 2 in security operations with this provider, however the then boss did something to humiliate me in front of the class, that was extremely unprofessional.In a previous course I had taken from a different provider, I was taught something about a legal technicality but in this course they were teaching something different on the same point. Turns out they were right, but I was sceptical at first in my questioning of the teacher (in a respectful manner), I let it go. So two minutes later the boss comes into the classroom (we wasn't teaching, just could hear the class in the next room) with a stack of printed paper, and proceeds to hand out this paper to every student in the class - just to prove that I was wrong on this minor point. Extremely unprofessional and humiliating behaviour. He could have clarified with me privately. I don't recommend them because of this.If this hadn't have occurred, I would have not hesitated in giving the course a 5 star rating.

Would highly recommend ASEC to anyone who wants to get into security. Their teaching method of both theory and practical made a world of difference. And while some times the theory seemed confusing, they were always abke to break it down so we could understand. And the same with scenarios. After each task we had, it was broken down into what we did right, what did or could have gone wrong and then we did another scenario and used the knowledge that we had just learnt. I am now confident in knowing what I can expect going into the industry and using the skills I have learnt.All the staff were amazing. So approachable and easy to talk to.

Great and friendly. Will go out of their way to help you not only complete the course but the next steps in getting a job.
