Cozy cabins. Had everything we needed. Running water. Fireplace with ample wood. Power. Warm showers. Mobile reception full signal was unexpected and good creature comfort to have when travelling with kids. Would highly recommend these cabins.

Beautiful Campground in a beautiful National Park, complete with resident Kangaroos, Currawongs and Sulphur Crested Cockatoos. Its a little cold today (20 Aug 2020) 2 degrees at 13.00 hrs, with rain falling as tiny hailstones, but that just adds to the charm. The Park is recovering nicely after the bushfire last year. We'll come back in Spring when hopefully the weather will be kinder.

5 Star great facilities however be prepared to share the ground with persistent kangaroos after all it's their territory. Windy night, felt like sleeping next to the ocean.

Awesome spot! Beautiful park, clean bathrooms, hot showers and stunning hikes.Kaputar Summit and Nature Trail Hikes are both great!Be aware of the kangaroos, they’ve clearly been fed by people in the past unfortunately and resultantly they are a little too bold coming close to you when cooking.

Another well maintained campground with hot showers, flush toilets, hot water from the tap as well, and… hand soap! Each site has a picnic table and a place to start a fire. There are also electric BBQs at the adjacent picnic area. Not as many sites so it probably doesn’t get super crowded. It’s a great place to stay if you want to really explore Mt Kaputar as the town of Narrabri is an hour away. You are also next to the Dawson spring trail and Mt Kaputar summit walk. They were doing work on some the tracks while I was there which kind of broke the peace in the mornings. But I’m sure once they finish, it will be very relaxing again. Kangaroos and /or wallabies wander around the campsite and I saw a sugar glider once. Also a great place to spot the giant pink slugs when it rains.Add on: There is fairly good mobile reception in this campground (and at the top of mountains) while it’s quite spotty in Bark Hut and other places in the park so if you need to work/book/look up things last minute, this is the place to stay. If you want to disconnect with the world, stay at the other camp.

Absolutely amazing campsite with the best facilities, better then most caravan parks we have visited, a family room would have been good but the do have a disabled toilet with no timer for the showers. Definitely needed a stiff drink after the drive in. Beautiful drive but lots of very narrow sections very high up. More guard rails definitely would have helped. Was extremely cold at nights and mornings, was not expecting that this time of year. And watch out for the roos they are magicians and can get into anything.Lots of great walks from the campsite and close to. No grass so can get messy especially after it rains

Fabulous campsite. Clean amenties with awesome showers! Kangaroos are very inquisitive so keep your food stowed away securely! The walks and the bird life are amazing and we enjoyed every minute.
