Greg Tunstall Mechanical

Took car in as was going into limp mode. Was preparing for a large bill. Greg tunstall ran diagnostics and diagnosed as dirty/bad fuel. A lot of other places would have said it was the fuel pump as thats what it looked like and charged $$$.Honest and knowledgeable.

Greg is an old school mechanic that really knows his stuff. He made my Triple SUs carbies sing beautifully when other highly recommended carby specialists in Brisbane couldn’t get them anywhere near as good. He gave me a few helpful hints to get the fuel & air supply just right as well.And for an old school workshop his team are all decent respectful folk too. I’m happy to recommend these guys to anyone.They only lost 1 star due to local parking, and occasionally the jobs take longer than expected. But I’m happy to get my car back knowing it has been tuned properly by Greg though. If I could have nominated 4.5 stars I would have.

Never had a problem with their work

Greg says, when your Triumph has lost it's Umph" he means it.... Having owned my little '79 wedge for 15 plus years ( my daily driver BTW). it was time to rebuild the gearbox

I put my Defender in for repair and 5 weeks later it still wasn't fixed so I collected it as I had lost all confidence in the mechanics ability. Even after I told the mechanic where to look they insisted on searching and trying everything except what I had asked them to check. After I got vehicle home it was evident that neither the mechanic or the auto electrician they subcontracted had checked what I had told them to check probably due to laziness to pop the dash apart. Their poor ability to diagnose the issue was costing me $$$ for each hour they mucked around on it, or paid a subcontractor to fiddle around. 35 years experience means nothing if you are incompetent. Don't waste your time going here unless you have deep pockets and like throwing money away. Old school mechanic that smiles at you while he helps himself to your hard earned. One star as zero wasn't an option.

We wouldnt go back. Pleasant and congenial unfortunately like a dirty uncle at a party, but we basically didn't see our car for a month and weirdly I found a common denominator with someone else local in unrelated conversation about our cars. It's expensive, lengthy, painful, our main problem seemed okay after but actually wasnt okay and the car wasn't even serviced as asked.

Greg is just a great guy, and his team really know their Land Rover stuff. I live more than 45 minutes away but would only go there for my Freelander fix ups and services. Super honest and super reliable... If you've got an English car, that's the only place to go.

Greg and his team are reliable and prompt. Nothing is too much trouble. Wouldn't get my car serviced anywhere else.

Called up from The Gold Coast and left my Triumph Stag car with Greg to get an issue sorted, Greg called me to tell me there were a few things to look over, he knew exactly what was wrong with it very quickly, not what I thought was the problem, he then fixed the problems and he checked my car over.I collected my car and had a trouble free trip home and its running very well. Easy chap to talk to, old school mechanic that knows his cars, he also sourced a part for my car earlier which was good value and a good part, knows his stuff, so a great guy to know.
