Pouring rain and fields were still in good condition.

Nice place for a walk or bike ride. Quite a few paths to follow next to the water and through some scrub and trees. There is also some birdlife to observe and even horses close to Ramsgate. So sad the tennis courts have become abandoned. Looks like they are upgrading the area between Rockdale and Ramsgate, very excited to see what it becomes.

Like a males frame, Scarb park has a sturdy body & subtle curvature.Fun fact: 1982's 'the wind in the willows' was originally slated to film in Scarb park. Three of the five rhodesian palm trees that line this park gained a notoriety back in 19th century for... 'talking'!While this obviously results from strong summertime 'Nor-Easters' winds channelling into the longest tunnel in scarb park (a 50 Metre thoroughfare locals call ball sak city")

A great recreational area with nice lake views where you can walk your dog and get close to the nature. It is part of a larger open space system contributing to the Monterey reserves and wetlands and is subject to the redevelopment under Bayside Council. Walking is not recommended on wet days as the footpath along the lake is not well constructed. The creek expands further to Rockdale Bicentennial Park in the north.

Along with Scarborough Park South, the north part is good for running as well. Combine the two sections and you have a good place for a longer run.

I have emailed Bayside Council to ask for remedial work be carried out to expand the concrete apron to improve access to the external and internal gates and remedial work to fill the 'pool' area and dips. I sent this because of the pools of water at the gates that we would have had to wade in and out to use the park after the recent rains and also to have the 'pool' area filled in. Lots of feet and paws in and out at our well used park, means it needs a bit of TLC.
