Extremely tasty food, well priced and a choice of serving size.The crispy skin barramundi served on a bed of whipped creamy potato with stir fry vegetables was spot on! Desert looked amazing.Staff very friendly, attentive and obliging.Great views all over Mt Gambier. Highly recommend.

Incredible location with beautiful vistas. Food was incredible, service was equally matched, friendly & helpful. Outstanding local wines on offer, definitely worth a visit if you are in Mount Gambier

The experience was definitely not worth the price tag. Ambience was average and so was the food. If either had been outstanding, it would have made up for the other. We also felt pressured to order a drink as we were not given the food menu until after we ordered a drink. The “views” from the restaurant was definitely oversold. From the description, I had the impression it would overlook the lake, but it doesn’t. In fact, it’s located next to the carpark. Not worth a visit.

Excellent service Megan and Kelly are amazing servers. Along with all the other staff from the bar to behind the scenes in the kitchen - ALL ARE AMAZING!The food is INCREDIBLE! I recommend the Kataifi Prawns and Thymes version of a surf and turf is out of this world! The desserts are beautiful and theatrical.The attention to detail and the view make this restaurant the best that Mount Gambier has to offer.We will be there many times again.I can never help myself - I always have to have an entree, main and dessert!!

The view, setting, food presentation and staff were all high quality. For the price I was expecting spectacular local food but was very disappointed. We had seafood for entre, the crab was over seasoned, the calamari over cooked and a sauce that was nice but definitely not spectacular. For main we had chicken breast which was again nice but not spectacular. Came with a mushroom panacotta which I was excited to try but it had no taste. I've had more refined and better pub meals. We didn't bother staying for dessert. If your visiting try elsewhere for the $.

Very disappointed, not a great range of food options. No vegan or vegetarian options, found online that it is a separate menu that was not even given as an option. Food presentation was exceptional, but taste was very average and overpriced. Some staff members were rude and we were made to feel unwelcome . Great views of the city.

Over-hyped, under-staffed. Boring menu, lazy options. Strange idea of fine dining and sadly underwhelming for the price tag, I'd rather visit The Foodie Bar (Sri Lankan) or The Barn(Steak Fine Dining) any day. I will not be returning and this is in no way due to the wait staff who were very friendly and kind. Food was over cooked, under seasoned strangely presented on the plates. Got the feeling they had no idea what that they were doing(trying too hard) but were happy to slap on the price tag

Went to thyme at the Lakes for tea and was suprised by the location, very nice view at a night with the city as an overlook. The staff were very catering and friendly, the meals themselves were lovely. I had the rack of lamb and the 'a taste of the sea' entree, overall would rate the food a 7, tasty and good flavours, just not a lot to it for the price. The experience and location make up for it.

From the time we walked in the door to the time we left, we were treated with courtious, professional reception. Just as important as the people working there, the food was absolutely exceptional. I personally had the confit duck. Presentation perfect and the taste was A+!!!
