Datacom made me attend 4 interviews and then still didn’t hire me. Indecisive poor quality management - blessing that I didn’t get the job.

Worked in the IT help desk and I must say my experience is far different than the reviews. Good facilities, laid back staff. Work can be a bit full on at times but there are always people willing to help you out.

As someone who has studied ethics at uni, I consider them ethically bankrupt and extremely inconsistent, There is a reason for their high turnover and a reason why people who have left them bond at other companies over shared experiences. I believe they call themselves datacom refugees. Let's just say the NDA's are for more than just client protection. As if anyone were able to give a full account of their time here it wouldn't look good. When you tear out a man's tongue, you don't prove yourself good or right, you merely show you are afraid of what they might say.

Most useless company I have ever worked for, cannot pay people correctly or on time. Would not recommend

Where to start??!Worked here last year and The training was fair , calls easy but the treatment I got from the team leaders who thought they were way above me when they are only lowly call centre workers and not degree holders was laughable . Elenor was nasty and after a certain incident where she humiliated me in front of co workers and should have been in private , I have reviewed this incident with fair work will be taking it further as a bullying claim. They also ask for med certs when you’re casual . Casual workers are not legally required to provide one .The blonde woman was just as bad constantly asking why I was walking out when I was going to the toilet .i was a good worker for them and might of stayed had I had a decent supervisor.No wonder it has the highest turnover for a business in SA .Need to treat people like human beings not animals!!!!

The SDM and management above them are a complete joke. Kim and Todd push their own agenda whilst failing to give the rest of the Team the credit it deserves. As for Kearney and Angela, be very careful. They will ambush you. The other TL group who do the most work are amazing. Please avoid Datacom like the plague. You are far better off on Centrelink.

the low rate of pay and the wasp infestation management refuse to deal with are all true here. i've been physically assaulted by coworkers here and those coworkers along with the team leaders have harassed me for having a learning disability while hr dept does nothing which goes to show the low bar of standards they use to hire. just stay on centrelink it's far preferable to working at datacom

Incredibly average experience here. Would be alright if the work actually matched the pay but its a pittance for what they expect of you. Much better pay out there for the same amount of work they expect.
