Would give no stars if I could. If you want to feel worse go to this man. Very cold, impersonal and bullying. Condescending and belittling.

My experience with Spencer Duke was unlike many of the other reviews here. I found him to be thorough, compassionate and informative. I highly recommend his practice.

As soon as I was on the phone to this man his ego was apparent, this man will talk to you condescendingly and refers to his clients mental disorders as an excuse"

Dr Spenser Duke put me at ease and made the assessment as relaxed as possible given some of the details I had to discuss. He was straightforward with his recommendations but also listened to my concerns. Overall, I would recommend if you are looking for someone who wants to truly understand the whole story and not just the current symptoms.

I think a lot of the negative reviews are a bit disingenuous.I saw Dr Spencer Duke recently and had no issues with him at all.He is a very straight forward guy in that he wants to be able to get the information he needs to help assess you.He made it clear what he needed and when I went on a tangent he gently nudged my mind back in the right direction.I'm also not sure why anyone would ever go to a psychiatrist and then say their life was ruined" because the psychiatrist did their job and gave them a diagnosis.Dr Spencer Duke went above and beyond

The only reason this review received any stars at all is for Simon the receptionist, he is an absolute jem and an wonderfully warm man.As for Dr Duke... my mother said to say anything at all if you can’t say anything nice. I’ll do my best to stick to that, the only warning I will give is; there is a reason why this man is not booked out, when everyone else locally is.

Dr Spencer Duke was my psychiatrist at St George mental health he was pushy ,condescending clown

The physiatrist at 87 Daley St, was a horrible, cold and condescending person. Walking through the front door to the nice receptionist I felt positive, as soon as I went into his room, me along with my whole family were criticised and bullied for an entire hour. The entire session he pretty much told me to my face that it was my parents fault, and rather then forcing me into the world when I was vulnerable he got angry at the fact that they listened and looked after me. I was stating how I was vulnerable and struggling to do any house work, and in his own words he said. “No matter how you feel, a loving son would clean up around his house.” I genuinely feel worse coming out of that session then when I was heading in. My parents and I cried for about 15 minutes afterwards about how he made fun of us and kept stating the fact it was my parents fault that I was like this. Words can’t describe this bloke but all I can say is, his solution to my depression, anxiety, and suicidal thoughts was too cut back on my pot smoking and to force myself out into society no matter the circumstances. Do not attend this place he is a genuine horrible person and the other reviews prove it too.

This ‘psychiatrist’ was horrible. Completely soulless. Had not one bit of care for me and the whole intention was to seek help for my vulnerability and I left the appointment feeling more suicidal then when I went in.

My experience is nothing like the other reviews at all.I found Dr Duke highly professional, knowledgeable and helpful in all aspects. He took the time to answer any questions i had, no matter how insignificant i thought they were. My interactions with Dr Duke have all been positive, Ive recommended his practice to friends and family that have also all had positive experiences with Dr Duke.
