Mixed experience for us today. I ordered a focaccia and my wife a roll. When presented with the options for a roll a ‘focaccia’ was offered. My wife pointed out it wasn’t a focaccia at all. I think in 2023 we are all aware of what one looks like as it’s no longer a mysterious new bread from an exotic place.Look our sandwiches were tasty and very well priced too. But they were not as advertised.Sadly though we went to use the high chair for our baby and it wasn’t functioning correctly. The buckles had been forced shut and it was broken and a bit tired.

Truly delicious fare served by very friendly staff. Highly recommended!

Had a coffee, hot chocolate and a vanilla slice. Vanilla slice was good, although a little thick. Could use a little more beating and water/milk to make it smoother. Drinks were satisfactory.Service - dismal. Refused to give us a plate to share our cake because we are too busy". Lady

On board says fresh award winning pies.. but in reality got not so fresh blended pies.. But most frustrating was the old lady at counter who was very rude .. no customer service I ask for cutlery she refused to give and told me don’t have one.. old grumpy lady was racist to other customer as well in front of my queue..

Okay, so I've read a few of the recent reviews and a lot of them seem to be quite negative. Which confuses me greatly. I just must be one of the lucky ones?My experience here was pleasant. I visited with my wife and two kids, a toddler and baby. I felt it was extremely kid friendly as my baby was trying to escape on foot/hands and knees and no one was looking at us with shame or anything. One of the waitresses gave a caring smile and interacted with our baby. Moreover, when I overheard my wife order I could her having banter and laughs with the server. When I looked over the counter to the staff, I only saw happy and busy staff. So not sure what the other comments about rude or unfriendly staff was about.In terms of food, we ordered two pies, a sausage roll, and a banana milkshake. Everything was fine. Taste was fine, and price was fine. I think a solid 4 out of 5 for your typical bakery. Was it award winning? I wouldn't go that far, but was it dismal? Absolutely not dismal. So there were some pretty harsh comments I read about the pies being too cold and straight out of freezer. But when I visited and ordered I could see the pies plain as day behind the counters being kept warm like any other bakery. I didn't have any dessert by visually they looked very tempting. And the banana milkshake was any other typical banana milkshake.Main thing for us is that the prices were very fair. Two doors down was a brunch play, but we avoided it because the prices were getting to a point of daylight robbery. We appreciated this bakery for keeping food prices realistic. We felt it was a great visit for a decent feed at affordable prices. And not trying to take advantage of the growing popularity of Daylesford tourism industry.I would definitely visit again and definitely recommend.

Pitstop for some pies. They were alright. Not much meat in them. The shepherdspie had stacks of potato, so they made it more filling. Just felt the pies were thin meatwise. Maybe half the depth of a typical pie (meat) I'd expect. Pastry was good.

I would definitely recommend this popular little bakery, great selection of food from salad rolls to pies and pastries also great coffee.

As a family we tend to have a bakery lunch in Daylesford when we travel here, except this bakery was not it! We couldn't order multiple things at once because they would just take off, one staff member even left the building! Then our food took ages to come, especially the milkshakes. We had to tell them our milkshake order 6 times... Before getting them half an hour later. Do not recommend this place. Food is meh, even burning it and having to remake a simple croissant, definitely not worth the wait

Only gave 1 star because i had too , service was abysmal no smiles in sight just grumpy women behind the counter. Coffee was awful it went in the bin . Fly's on the cakes so most certainly did not purchase any food . Were happiness goes to die!!!

Lovely pies, rolls and pastries. Despite the quality food offered, they need work on staffing and customer service so that their customers feel served and respected.Myself and two of my friends visited at lunch time last Sunday and there was a long queue and only one lady was serving who seemed very slow and seemed somewhat oblivious. When one of my friends mentioned politely to the lady hat she was taking a long time to serve (the server repeatedly wanted to confirm my friend's the order and unfocused), she gave an attitude and said that she was doing the best she could.I think the bakery can surely make more effort as to us the server wasn't doing her best. I'll be going back to this place however as I love their food.
