Best ham and cheese toastie I’ve had in my entire life. Coffee was ace too! Friendly owner whose always up for a chat. Definitely stop by if your passing through.

Highway Milk Bar has a prominent position on the highway as you drive onto Stawell. When we visited it was in the midst of renovations which will surely improve the overall look and practicality of the venue. But....while the aesthetics of this food stop are undergoing a transformation their food is still excellent and the banter and friendliness of the staff is wonderful. And now....for the all important rating...their coffee is superb!!

Absolutely loved the coffee (I have spent many years living in Fitzroy with all their trendy coffee places and these guys blew them out of the water). Even better good traditional sandwich - will go back whenever I drive through.

Lovely little cafe with excellent hotbox, fresh sandwiches and delicious made-to-order burgers. Great coffee and ice cream. Very friendly staff. Next to servo so very handy

I'm 62 years old and travelled extensively in Australia so I've eaten a lot of take-away food. What I was served today in this establishment has to be the worst I've ever had. If I hadn't travelled on before eating I would have returned the food. With all the fast food franchises opening along the highway in this town I think the death knoll is ringing for this Milkbar/Cafe. I didn't want to leave even 1 star but Google made me.

Sells Everest ice cream - the same brand as Halls Gap - as well as Peters. Decent variety of ice creams (22 flavours) and very affordable.Great and friendly staff too! Highly recommend.

The only coffee I have ever returned. Was undrinkable. Owner advised it was fine and that's how it's supposed to taste. Was pretty sure the milk was sour. Refused refund
