I did my 1st volunteer shift today. It was awesome. I worked in the kennels. They are thoroughly cleaned daily, all dogs get outside time either via outdoor individual runs or walks outside of the grounds and around the local streets. Each dog gets walked one on one. All volunteers absolutely love and respect the dogs and it is shown in the welfare and the mental stimulation they receive with toys and learning basic training around manners, and obedience. They work hard to have the dogs living with a kennel mate and slowly work through the single dogs to see if they are safe to be put together. I can't wait for my next shift. This org receives no Gov funding and solely relies on donations and grants. All of the dogs seemed happy clean and well fed. The complex was extremely clean and very well organised.PLEASE DONATE WHAT YOU CAN.Any cat or dog related products would be welcome, old blankets or towels, tools and garden tools or hoses and quality fittings, laundry detergent, buckets, gum boots any items that would help keep this NO KILL shelter running would be warmly welcomed.

I took my dog for a Dog Wash last week and the staff are very organised, caring and so gentle with the dogs especially when my dog was so nervous. For $10 the dogs are given a beautiful warm water wash, towel dried and most importantly - a couple of doggy treats at the end!!

I could praise animal aid and their wonderful staff more for what they do. I have been looking for a long time for a little dog and found a perfect fur baby. Darcy is a sweetheart and will be very well loved ❤

A wonderful charity rescue shelter that truly love their animals and take brilliant care of them. We adopted a dog that was a resident for 6yrs and he is always excited to go back for a visit & they are just as excited to see him again.

I found a dog on my work site and took him in, they were so good, finding his name amd address and so caring and gentle with him. He was scared and filthy, and just wanted some live amd a cuddle. Felt bad I had to take him there but know he will be looked after during his time the PAA

I was hoping for them to allow a family member to take in the 10 year old dog so as to reunite her back with its 85 year old owner that has lost everything in the flood. But they kept coming up with excuses. They are very racists about certain dog breeds. I believe they are not qualified but only volunteers .stating who is suitable to adopt. Found out during a phone call to check up on the dog , it was said they already had some older person to take the dog before we even visited them .I am 60 my husband 70 and we are retired . So figure that out
