The Salvation Army

Absolutely disgraceful. Tried to ring Fyshwick 3 times to arrange collection of my deceased mothers estate. No answer. Rang Tuggeranong who gave me a 137 number and when I tried to explain I had already tried that and as I live interstate and I automatically got put through to the local store. I did try it again and had the same problem. When I rang Tuggeranong back, the rude man (Albert I think it was) who answered the phone was talking over the top of me and couldn't care less. As a relation of the founder of the Salvation Army myself, I am appalled at his behaviour and the fact that when I said I would ring St Vinnies, he said ok and hung up. Pick up your game. I hope I never need your help in the future

I visit Salvation Army Tuggeranong at least once a month to buy clothing and I always find the loveliest things for a very affordable price (and for this, I will continue to go), however, the staff are quite unfriendly. I often try to make conversation while checking out and remain polite even when they are monotone, vague, and dismissive. It’s a very abrupt 180 from Vinnies, Tuggeranong where all the staff are exceptionally kind. I find it odd that there are people working in a charity store with no patience or compassion at all.

if i could give zero stars for customer service and attitude i would. the lady at the back of the store, (Joseland st where you donate larger items) was the rudest lady in customer service ive ever come across. x2 i said excuse me"

Normally really good. Sign out front this time said orange tags are $1. Sign inside said orange tags are $1. We were charged full price for all of the orange tags. The man who served us seemed angry to have to be serving us at all. I don't know what happened, but I doubt we'll be coming back.

Unlike other Salvos you can still find a bargain here and the staff are very friendly.

Almost everyone volunteers and the range, quality and prices are excellent.Don't go there, cos then I won't get the best stuff.
