A lovely high vantage lookout spot overlooking Newcastle Ocean Baths & Newcastle Beach.A nice grassy area with benches to relax & take in the view.A well trodden path/shortcut down to The Cowrie Hole & Baths for locals.

A great little place to have a picnic, with its beautiful views and some nice shady spots near the trees, Its the perfect spot to play with the kids, sit with your lover and embrace the coastal landscape.

Signage here at this park explains the convict and tram history of this area. The park is located about 400 metres east of the new Newcastle Beach Light Rail stop. The park offers an excellent view of the Pacific Ocean, Ocean Baths and Newcastle Beach. There are several seats at this park. Trees offering shade are here. Plenty of green space. A short walk north of this park reveals a lot more of Newcastle's history ie Fort Scratchley and heritage listed homes.

Went for a lovely walk along the waterfront. There are some great restaurants and pubs along there, and lots of parking nearby. And the tram stop is right there too
