I had been looking for a good landscaper to do my front and backyard for quite a few months now before I stumbled upon Alex. Gave me a very reasonable price and ensured me the job would come out how I invisioned.. I had my doubts as I’ve had people screw in the past with landscaping jobs but Alexander did not disappoint.. he had the job finished well before I expected and made sure everything was exactly how I pictured it! Passion. Pride. Trust. 3 words I would never associate with this business. I have no idea why we were treated so poorly given the reviews I’ve read about the quality of his work, professionalism and respect he has for your property. This has been one of the most stressful and frustrating experience with a tradie and a total waste of time and money. Delays (more than a month after when the job was meant to have been completed), lack of communication (doesn’t show up when he says he would and doesn’t respond to calls/texts/emails) and poor workmanship caused us to cut our losses with this business and cancel the job. I understand it is normal for there to be delays but the empty promises of turning up and not showing over and over again coupled with the unprofessional act of asking for more money despite the delays and lack of communication makes it hard to trust that he would actually finish the job and do it well. Overall we paid almost $7000 for him to do some digging, lay some (insufficient) crushed rock and top soil and partially set up the timber boxing for the concrete, incorrectly I may add. Not to mention the damages caused to our driveway and footpath as well as the huge mess he left. Also felt cheated when we found out he did not dig out the backyard which we later discovered when clearing weeds. He initially said he would refund $1000 but later changed his mind once again proving that he cannot be trusted. I’ll leave you to judge for yourself if the work he had completed is worth $7000. I know 1 bad review may not deter people from hiring Alex but if it happened to us it could happen to you. I wish someone else had warned us about him before we agreed to engage him.
