SteamFest Tasmania
Steamfest is pretty awesome and the whole experience was really good! I got to see some train models, which are still functioning, the remodeled piano where the fire comes out following the tempo of the metronome (wow??) And some tractor pulling! It was $20 for entrance and $7 if you would like to do a train ride. There are also some mini train rides which was really cute.

I have been to many events like this & it definitely rates among the best, very varied, kept to their time table, a credit to the organisers & volunteers

Excellent day. All staff and volunteers were so helpful and friendly. Lots of interesting things to see. Lot of variety in food and some great little stalls. Train ride was great. Overall a fantastic day

Step back in time at Sheffield. Drag yourself away from the murals and shops of the main street and head down to the old railway station, where you will be greeted by a small group of enthusiastic steam lovers!A cafe for refreshments and a chat, then take the half hour ride that takes you back 100 years or so.A great diversion for the kids, and fun for the adults too!Head back in March for the full Steam Festival and make a weekend of it!

Fabulous event, prepare to spend most of the day there, so much to see. Train ride, tractor pull competition, ploughing, steam traction engines - too much to list.
