Mitcham auto repairs recommended Dave. Was quoted $4k for repair of my RAV4 transmission. Once the gearbox was removed and damage assessed, quote was $6.5k (also included suspension repair). Went ahead and waited 6 weeks - when car was returned it slipped out of gear at high temps. Fortunately had 2 year warranty. Dave changed the solenoids and returned the car. Still slipped out of gear. He changed the computer but still had a problem. Finally had to remove the gearbox and fix a sensor in the box. Finally returned and working thankfully. Took about 4 months but Dave persevered and stood by the warranty. Only issue was the steering bolts were not tight and caused the car to drift suddenly. Was a difficult experience for both Dave and I but the job was done and lessons learned.

Had my VW transporter transmission rebuilt and serviced here after another customers recommendation. Fantastic knowledge base and customer service. Honestly couldn't ask for a better mechanic than Dave.

Got my ZF transmission serviced here. Dropped off in morning and picked up after work. Smooth process and at a better price than other places - had no issues and would recommend, Cheers.

My Audi Q5 had the dreaded “Gearbox Malfuction limited functionality” error come up. My car wasn’t smooth at stopping and taking off at lights beforehand and I had a feeling there was something expensive coming up. When I googled the report and read the forums, it looked like I’d need either a new transmission (14k) or to have another expensive board item in the gear box replaced (2.5k) with no guarantee of it being a long term fix. The RAA diagnostic suggested a lot of electronic and mechatronic failures. In any case, I was recommended Automatics of Marion for their experience with Audi and their trans issues. I now have the car back and it’s totally different to drive! Like a normal car. No more funny sounds or awkward take off and stop. It feels solid now. The car was fixed very closely to the time of the necessary parts arriving. Thank you so much Dave!

Dave was great. Recommended to me by someone in the industry. Rebuilt my TH350 trans in my VB SLE commodore. Went above and beyond. Very happy with the price. Was very approachable and friendly. Happily discussed options available. Car drives great. Couldn't be happier.

This guy here.. worst of the worst. POOR communication. Had car for a week and a half.. no result. I wad advised by Raa 6.5 hour job. This guy took more then 5hrs to remove transmission. Damaged one of my mounts. Still had the audacity to charge me $890. Do yourself a favor and not come here. He's a real back yarder for a business man
