Logan Hospital Emergency Department

Went to logan ed today after many hospitail refused to even look at me they took 6 hours to see me but the care Dr dav gave was way above expected made me feel heard and ran all test needed.

Presented here this morning expecting a long wait. Was attended too by the most amazing staff from the check in, the nurse and the Dr. All fantastic doing a great job. Thank you for helping me. Sorry I can't recall your names to put in this review. You all do an amazing job and I am greatly appreciative of your help.

I was a bit worried having read some of the reviews pre-transport by QAS, but thank you for taking me to Logan Hospital Emergency. All staff, admin, nurses, doctors and support medical were on top of their game and correctly diagnosed a serious condition needing emergency surgery. The surgical team were equally competent and a precision team.Post op care and a 3 night stay on ward was equal or exceeding 5 star care, not only caring for you, but caring about you.Thank you.

Appalling wait times. If I could give zero stars, I would. Was advised that they only roster one doctor on during the night in emergency. Sitting in emergency with swelling on my spine, in agony from the hips down. Left after waiting 2hrs because was advised an additional 5hr wait minimum. How is this justifiable?!

Misdiagnosed spinal fracture, refusing to do X-ray, scans etc assuming muscular strain. Definitely failed and could have led to a life in a wheelchair. Wake up, listen and start caring. Disgusted is an understatement

AFTER 15 months and 7 plus visits, to ED, I could finally say that, I didn't hear staff upset or moaning, A young newbie doc staff member explained more, then others nurses and trainees were lovely. but As I was leaving to be told pretty much unless I can't move, then don't call an ambulance and such, I was like wth. ??? NOW my fingers are crossed he means that nicely, But it came across, like I was a pain, that I wasn't dead enough. WHich really shocked me. I know things have been difficult, especially those in the health sectors, but it's been just as bad for patients. It took 3 weeks before I went in, because the stories heard... Wtg to those in charge... but I was shocked beyond words. patients shouldn't have to be made to feel the only way they can get help is to be pretty much dead.

Can’t begin to explain how amazing all the staff at Logan hospital are! They all treated me so well when I went into emergency - they prioritised me when they knew something was wrong & looked after me so well until the minute I left.

Had to visit the Logan hospital ED today and had the best experience from the moment I got in the door. Every staff member I dealt with were friendly, professional and caring. I received the highest standard of care and would not hesitate if I ever had to go there again. I feel people are too quick to complain and are unappreciative of the hard work that these amazing Doctors and nurses do to try and help us all.

I had my first experience at Logan Emergency department today and I can not fault the staff. I came in with a very painful and delicate issue and they were very sympathetic and efficient with me. I can't thank the doctors and the multiple nurses enough for the way I was treated and cared for right from reception to being discharged. Thankyou.

I was instructed by a GP to go to the emergency if the symptoms I was experiencing worsened prior to all my blood results coming back. A day later I went to the emergency with further symptoms and after waiting over night for 8 hours I finally asked the triage nurse when I may be seen… which was met with “you’re standing and speaking fine and your breathing seems normal so what is the emergency?” I explained my symptoms, including the left side of my body going numb and showed her the visible symptoms, and again explained the GP’s advice. Everything I said was dismissed and her response was “you look fine to me, if it was an emergency we would have already put you through to the Dr”…So if you’re after medical help, this is not the place to find it.
