Nice place to spend your evening. White sand beach and small island to see. Best sunset view.Not too far from the city, just 40-50 mins drive. Difficult to get the parking space in weekend.

What a perfect place for a picnic! You get everything here. Ice cream truck, walking trail, cliff watch, fishing, enough lawn for your family to set up a picnic blanket or a small tent and hang out for a day

Nice rocky outcrop on the end of the small peninsula at La Perouse. When the tide is low, you can pretty much walk all the way around and come out near the beach on the other side. Not much to look at over the water except for the tanker port, but looking in the rockpools and at the ancient coral and lava beds is pretty interesting.

It's beautiful and famous as a movie location, but it's quite far from central Sydney, so if you're pressed for time, it might not be a must-see destination.
