Food On The Hill
3.3 nails it, I think. The cafe is neatly tucked away at the back of a small shopping precinct. Good amount of seating in several spots with a nice outdoor area where people were enjoying this amazing stretch of mild sunny weather. I found myself liking the cafe set up. It felt like there was a spot here to please everyone.I grabbed some soup and a coffee today. The soup was pumpkin. It looked a bit prosaic and was. It was ok with a nice silky texture but was a bit under seasoned. That was easily reversed with a bit of salt and pepper but overall the soup made me pine a bit for the excellent soups I’d had recently at Nordie and Miss Green elsewhere on Red Hill. I thought the coffee here was quite good though and unlike my experiences with a couple of ordinary ones elsewhere recently I was immensely disappointed when the brew was all gone. That’s that then.Service was impressive here. They seem good people running the place and they chatted very nicely with people coming in and out. I found myself liking the cafe and I’d certainly return. I notice the sign about them being Greek food specialists here and that’s a cuisine I like a lot.

My wife picked this place for lunch and it was fabulous! Genuine Greek cuisine, melt in your mouth food that was fresh and super tasty! I can't speak highly enough it was perfect! I had an open plate of slow cooked pulled lamb with bread, tzatziki, some yummy fresh salad, smashed avocado and a Red Hill beer. Couldn't fault the food it was spot on a very authentic" flavour all cooked by husband and wife team in this quaint and charming little restaurant 10/10"

Delicious food, great coffee, especially when made by the man himself, thanks Chris.Fabulous friendly service and THE BEST baklava lovingly made by the marvellous Liz.Seriously, if you enjoy yummy food, you simply cannot go past this beautiful Greek inspired Cafe

A great little Greek Cafe, tucked in a corner of the group of shops. The food was simple but amazingly delicious and at a great price. Staff were very friendly. A fantastic spot to stop for lunch after walking the trail from Merricks.

Food On The Hill
I came to Food On The Hill with my family and friends last weekend, after googling cafes in the area. I was impressed how delicious the Greek food was! The food was certainly made with love, as the owner mentioned. :) I look forward to coming back next time I’m in the area.

Let me start off by summarising the experience: one of the worst meals I've had in recent memory – no exaggeration. Tap my profile and find any of my recent 1-star reviews; this was worse.I came all the way from the CBD only to be immensely disappointed. Their website advertising this as authentic Mediterranean food" and a "Greek feast" served by "a Greek husband and Italian wife" is an insult to both the Greek and Italian cultures.I ordered the Hungry for Two platter. The food was cold

Good hearty souvlakis, chicken was tasty, though a little dry because it was breast. Tzatziki was delicious, pita bread was a little thick so it felt more like a pizza but overall tasty.
