Lake Mac Watersports

Great boats, great service. Called these guys one morning with relatively short notice (off season and not a weekend mind) and they managed to sort two runabout boats for us really quickly. Unfortunately the weather was shocking so we had to cut the trip short, but we came back the next day and had a lovely day on calmer Waters catching fish. Great fun. And great service. Will very back next time I'm in the area.

I wish I could give Lake Mac Watersports more than 5 Stars!!. My family and I had a fantastic watersport experience, Thanks to the owner Simon.We hired a fibreglass motor boat for 2hrs (now wishing we hired it for longer) as we wanted to try our hand at fishing and boating. Simon was also kind enough to let us hire a couple of their fishing rods. Top bloke!We got there 30mins prior to our booking time, as we needed to get briefed on the boat and water safety. Their office is located at the back of a resort. I'm happy we booked an early departure as they get really busy during the day.Next time we come back we'll be hiring the boat for the day! As you convinced me not to buy one.

A beautiful day spent on the lake. The boat was great, plenty of room for the 2 of us... ran exceptionally well and so easy to operate. The staff were welcoming on arrival and awesome on our return.In all a great day spent on the water and would so happily return for a repeat hire. The lake has many coves to anchor, relax awhile and picnic onboard.

I smiled ear to ear the whole time we were out on the pontoon boat. The staff there were friendly and made us feel comfortable taking out a boat for the first time. The location at Rafferty's is stunning - the boat was in good condition and easy to drive. Online booking was easy and the staff were well organised and thorough on the day. Had such a great time on the lake.

Hired a BBQ boat for 4 hours in November 2022.Had a fantastic time on the water.Boat was fast enough and spacious for 7 adults.Great way to explore Lake Macquarie.

A great day on the water with family; we hired kayaks and sups. All in great condition. A few hiccups setting us up as was very busy, but all staff helpful and friendly. Parking a little tricky but a great day all around.

The equipment is old, kayaks were missing all padding and the back supports, the paddles were missing or had half torn off rubber grips and the paint was chipped which made my hands so sore and blistered one hand.You can only kayak in a small section of the lake along the coast line, took us 5-10 min to kayak from the dock to the end point he told us not to pass. We had 2 double kayaks with one adult and one child, we were not moving fast. We ended up swimming most of the time as there was no where to explore.There wasn't even good customer service, when we had to get a life jacket he just stood there while we were looking for sizes, visibly struggling, I had to ask him to help twice.We go kayaking as a family every summer, you can find much better equipment and locations than this.

We were lucky enough to be able to rent a near new bowrider (for which a boat licence is required). A fantastic boat for the lake for a reasonable price, and Lake Macquarie is a great place for boating. The staff are friendly and helpful.The business has a choice of boats, including those for which no licence is required, however these can be well booked up during holiday times.Just one tip - be aware of the weather forecast, particularly if a southerly is due - the lake has a long fetch and it can get a bit choppy!

Just perfect. Easy hassle free and great value for money. t was my daughters 21st nd we all had the best time. The Lake was so warm and really beautiful. Mary
