Genesis Christian College

A high schooler said something extremely racist to one of my good friends who is only in primary school and all they did was give him a warning instead of a detention or suspension. This school states that they care about their students when really all they care about is the money they get. They don’t care about u they only themselves and then profit they get from the students.

Whenever I drive past the school, I always see the swim instructors doing lessons. In my opinion, the school needs more space for the kids, as I always see them on the grass Infront of the pool instead of anywhere else nice. I'm sure the students would love a nice place to be instead of being at the fake grass part, though I did see that there has been new parts being built.

I am a current student here. This place has a substantial amount of facilities & services. Despite this, there are some downsides to education here. The rules & restrictions are debated upon consistently by the student body. The communication between student & staff is ridiculous but at least many of the staff members are kind. The educational work load here is something this school has indeed accomplished. So ups and downs, but what school doesn't have ups and downs.Edit: Been a while since this review, and I feel the school is improving, with some exceptions the school is doing pretty well and most of the staff are doing everything to the best of their abilities.

Half the good reviews are done by teachers at the school who were told to by the menacing Principal Mr Taylor who is more worried about making the school LOOK good rather than making the effort to increase the quality of education. Was made to shave during class time with no warning even though I could’ve just done it that same afternoon after getting home.

We have always been extremely happy with the school. The Teachers are wonderful and always go above and beyond. Would (and do) highly recommend Genesis CC

The school provides wonderful opportunities for students. This is our first year and everything they promised they have delivered. The academic standard is high, but, they have all the support in place to help your child achieve. When a teacher stays back 21/2hours after class to give extra tutoring that is just amazing. The staff are caring and followed up on our children to ensure they were settling into Genesis. We praise the Lord for how this first year is progressing.

Great Christian school. Incredible buildings and staff. New buildings including a STEM building and lots of different subjects to pick from. Wide variety of extra curricular activities.

Our family has just left the school. As a parent, I feel Genesis has mixed reactions with students with learning difficulties. They try to help but fall short and are incapable of understanding particular needs and how to deal with them.This has been a good school for my daughters , however they have no learning issues and were very compliant and did as they were told.Some teachers are wonderful, some not so. I do feel some teachers take everything personally and if that is the case, your child will be setup for failure. Lots of discrimination here as well. The so called Christian teachers think they are above everyone else. 2 stars as my daughters went ok here. The rest cancels out the issues with my other child.Do i recommend? Only if your child is of the opinion that they do nothing wrong ever, then you will be fine.Editing in response- I’m sure if you ask Stuart Taylor, he will know exactly who we are. We have absolutely no interest or intention of ever contacting the school again, so it is fruitless to even suggest doing so Taryn . Silly response - but I can guarantee we absolutely are a family that has just left and this review is genuine and true.

School is AMAZING! Fun teachers and awesome learning system. The only thing is the high school uniforms, so hot and stuffy in the winter. Great technology and discipline. More sport clubs would be good

I’ve been going to genesis my whole life and have only had one problem with bullies, it took sometime to figure it out but other then that it’s a amazing school for all kids, the staff are great and give you a hand when needed and are always telling jokes to enlighten the in happy students, this school is like a big family I found that when I was having a bad time at home and had to go to school that morning i’d always come home happy because of the great day I had, the teachers notice when your not you and will keep and eye on you and if your still not your self they ask if you ok or if you need help with something, it’s amazing how much this school has grown and how much it has developed it has be a honour going to genesis and I’ll miss all the staff when I leave. So consider sending your children to a school that I can guarantee they’ll feel comfortable at.
