The cabin was rustic but comfortably decorated. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay in a 1 BR cottage with back porch overlooking the fields, and learning about the estate’s history and the family tree. There are other historic buildings to explore and beautiful gardens to walk. This is a peaceful location with stores and restaurants just a short drive away. It wasn’t far to the Launceston airport for our departure the next day. Definitely recommend!

Such an amazing glimpse back into history. We stayed in the Gardener’s cottage which is self contained with an open fire in the lounge. Continental breakfast with farm fresh eggs included. So lovely sitting on the veranda in the sun in the mornings, made extra special to have newborn lambs in the surrounding paddocks. Really enjoyed the historical aspect of the entire property. So interesting learning about the history of the property from the owner.Definitely recommend a stay here.

We had such a lovely day and night here. We stayed in the Pea in the Pod cottage which was super cute, very clean, comfy beds, warm and amazing views of the fields and sheep in the morning. The breakfast provided was an added bonus and really appreciated - juice, milk, cereal, toast, just what you need for a quick and easy start to your day. Included a mini fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, kitchen sink, heated blankets, radiator, wall heater and TV. Next day we got to feed the animals including Aggie the pig, chooks, ducks, Ed the cow, horses and the sheep. It was simple but fantastic. Richard was very helpful. We toured the farm and the historic buildings. We also enjoyed touring the gardens across the road. I would just add for those with any accessibility concerns that there are two steps to get up to the cottage and no hand rail, and the bathroom and toilet are quite compact and no hand rails. I would also totally get married here, was a beautiful place to hold such a function or an event. And we came at the end of autumn/winter, can only imagine it would be even more gorgeous in spring summer bloom.

Wonderfully preserved buildings offering a fascinating insight into Tasmania's convict past. The gardens are well worth a visit too.

I booked The Archery as a venue for a workshop and would highly recommend it! The venue is beautiful with great lighting and features. Louise and Eliza were absolutely fantastic to deal with, organised and really accommodating. The BBQ lunch was great and many of the workshop participants commented on how delicious it was. Thank you so much for having us!

Self guided tour around the Estate. The information boards and guide sheet were clear and interesting to read. In winter were shoes you can get muddy as most is outdoors.
