They have to STOP leaving parcels in a safe place because there's no such a thing especially at my house. My house has no gate and security door and no lock for the letter box. How can they possibly find a safe place to leave parcels here? And yep my thing s got stolen just because they're too lazy to leave me the collection ticket. And will they pay me back for what I lost, NO.

Of all of the post offices I've been to in the northern suburbs, this is my favourite. The couple that run the counter are extremely helpful & always do a great job of walking me through potentially complex international postage scenarios, often pointing out less expensive options that I've missed. Very happy with the service there.

North Carlton Post Office staff are very good and very helpful and are always smiling and polite. To the person that complained here about only being opened 9-5 on working days that is not true. They are opened on Saturdays as well till 12 pm which is what I find great about them! Not many post offices are. Also the people that do deliveries are contractors for Australia Post. They are NOT staff of the North Carlton Post Office. They will not leave things on doorsteps if the parcel requires a signature or they don't feel it is safe to do so. Sometimes it pays to do a little homework before posting negative comments.

Had a brilliant experience at the Carlton North LPO at 607 Lygon Street. It was the nearest post office to me to do passport photos, so I went on a weekday afternoon. It's a small space and I was expecting to need to wait but was served almost immediately - service was friendly, efficient and professional (and there's an assistant post manager dog!)

The people who run the post office are nice enough. But they are a bit disorganised - fairly slow, don’t manage the queues very well and often take some time to find a parcel. And the opening hours are not great either - they really need to open at 8am at least a couple of times per week as 9-5 does not suit most working people. And if only they would pick up the phone when you call! I have rung them several times now and they don’t even have an answering machine. It just rings out.
