Love this incredible family business. The service is warm the ham delicious and the cevapi to die for. They are only available Thurs-Fri-Sat.

Lovely old school small goods. This is a family run business since 1962. The lady in the photo is the wife and has been working there since 1967.Upon entering the shop smell is very much nostalgic. The double smoked kaiser fleish(also known as bacon is cured and can be eaten without cooking). The taste is delicious. I tried 3 different types of small goods and all were very high quality in both taste, ingredients and in traditional flavour.Let's hope someone in the family or a next generation worker is keen to master these time honoured traditional skills to keep producing this exquisite deliciousness!!!!! It's very much a lost art!******The opening hours are from 6am till approximately 5pm.Bring CashIf I recall they are so old skool, they don't use Eftpos machines******There's plenty of parking on High st or down the side streets.The original store front is nostalgic and very classic. The blue tiles are old skool and lovely so do check it out as you peer inside the store.Beautiful old school charm of yesteryear

You can just tell that this Cevrap recipe has been perfected for generations, I'd love to get my hands on this recipe definatley worth checking out.

Like I found a stargate. The butcher shop that time forgot. Only thing missing was the sawdust on the floor like in the old days. They must use it for smoking their meats. Bought a lovely piece of double smoked speck for a green lentil soup. Smelled like the good old days. Back soon.

Finally in the Thornbury area I was able to visit the Velimorivic store to try their smallgoods straight from the source. The 2 staff who served us were elderly and very friendly and spoke several languages fluently, wishing me a happy Easter in my native tongue. This is not a trendy upmarket shop, but a traditional, old time owner operated deli that only sells their own smoked meat products and a few bottled and canned Deli items. The store is very small with a small range of products, Csabai, smoked ribs, kaiserflesch, smoked pork neck etc. Bought some Csabai and Polish sausage and smoked ribs. Wow! Really liked all of them, both the normal Csabai, and the Hot Csabai. Beautifully smoked with a great flavour and wonderful texture. Just eating them with some good bread and some red wine was really enjoyable. Can't wait to try them cooked into a few recipes as well. Velimorivic supplies to other Delis, we usually get are smallgoods from the specialist Deli in the Oakleigh Shopping Centre. Beware though, there is NO EFTPOS, cash only!

Eastern European smallgoods, great quality produced onsite. Sometimes they have fresh meat there.The smoked pork neck is amazing!

This lovely couple have been doing delicious small goods since the 70’s- definitely get some “spicy” salami, and some prosciutto! So amazingly delicious! (The salami isn’t hot but has good spices.)10/10 I got out of my way on the weekends to get these tasty meats- you should too!

Unfortunately I must have stumbled on the worst cevapici I have ever tasted.I followed recommendation and drove an hour and purchased these so called delights.They looked delicious so I purchased 3 kg( freeze some for later ) and when I cooked some for my guests I couldn’t believe the smell and taste .Sadly this establishment has totally disappointed me.Meat was old and the smell gave that away as did the taste . As they were cooking heaps of yellow liquid came out ( preserves) and they were breaking up and ended up dry tasteless and smelling of old pork mince and some other strange smell.Considering the reputation of this establishment I can’t believe such bad quality.I have still about 2 kg frozen waiting to take back .Horribly prepared and rancid smell that seriously needs to be looked at .I understand same owner since 1962 but I think it’s time for a good spring clean of the shop and review storage facility.
