The museum is free, no need to buy tickets. Beautiful collection of natural history. The polynesian exposition is really cool! Recommend checking out!

It was a nice experience but not the most interactive of museums you could go to. I went by myself which I probably wouldn't reccomend and I only had a look at the free exhibition. Seemed quite kid friendly.

Fascinating museum with lots of detail and exhibitions. Museums are not really my thing but this took it to the next level.

Took the kids to see the Lego Exhibition, was awesome! A little bit pricey, like everything at the museum (for a free venue its a very expensive day out) but the time spent in the Relics Lego Exhibition was worth it, finally something on in Adelaide that my special 16 year old son is into! Really happy to see the museum keeping up with the times.Side note that having the recently deceased flamingo and his friend from Adelaide Zoo right in the walkway of the busiest part on ground floor is an odd choice and a bit confronting, i spent 2 weeks in Adelaide Zoo in the early 90s with the Bird People"

Located in Adelaide city centre, the South Australian Museum is an amazing natural history museum for you to visit. It can take a few hours if you want to enjoy it thoroughly. For the first time, I was intrigued by the cultural and historical collections of Aboriginal Australia in particular and Australia in general. For those with young children, if you want to bring your kids to a highly educational environment, this is an ideal choice. The staff is very friendly and welcoming.

Such an interesting museum with a good variety of displays over four levels. The taxidermy displays are especially well presented and clearly labelled. Children and school going students can see the displays up close for educational purposes.Entry is free to the various displays, but there are special exhibitions held occasionally which are chargeable. Walking here from Rundle Mall is barely 5 minutes at normal pace.

My son loves coming to the museum and seeing all the cool exhibits. His favourite is the full sized giant squid that goes from ground level up to the third floor. This was a special Lego exhibit that was on during our last visit

Definitely a must see museum. And it’s free for the usual exhibits. There’s usually. Special one that would need a tickets. The free one already would take at least 2 hours so this could be a half a day and it’s enjoyable for the whole family.Couple of levels of different types of exhibits. A cafe and museum shop at the end for the one to wants a coffee and a souvenir.
