Balgowlah Golf Club

A nice 9 hole course with a mixture of long flat fairways and short sharp hilly sections. It's a lovely, leafy course with wildlife wandering around.

Fun course that's very well maintained, greens and fairways in excellent condition. Some short holes as the course is jammed into a fairly small area but some quite challenging and interesting holes. Staff and members very friendly.Keep watch for some rare Australian wildlife while searching for your balls in the rough!

nice challenging course and good coffee, distance markers on fairway are either missing or hard to find especially in ground markers, could do with some more trees to replace the dead treas they have removed, also a little pricey with NO seniors rate.

Fun little track, technical yet forgiving in some ways. Definitely recommend, good value for buck. Social player.

Course condition very suspect in areas (drainage and green maintenance especially) with no discount on green fees. Booked to play 18 on a Sunday (which is open all day to social play according to their site) to tee off ever so slightly delayed by the group in front being late to get half way around and told we would have to wait for a competition to play through (them having just started and another 16-20 players left) rather than letting us continue as should be expected. Either sort your website information, your booking system or your make your tee times adhered to as this isn’t acceptable. Staff member did refund the 9 holes we didn’t play but it shouldn’t happen. VERY disappointing.

Around a year or two ago I used to visit this place every Wednesday, so I decided to write a review for the place, mind you it might've changed since not only that it's been ages and my memory isn't the greatest, so I suggest taking this review with a grain of salt. Overall its a 9 hole course from memory so to do 18 holes you have to do two laps of the course, and mind you this course is pretty nifty, each hole is quite fun, some fairly unique, plus, every few holes, theres a bubbler and golf ball washing system. Regardless from that the community of the place is wonderful, everyone is respectful of the etiquette of the course, the minature shop near the entrance is pretty pricy for food, but the golfing equipment seems alright, although I don't know the average prices for golf equipment so once again, take my words with a grain of salt. The club itself seems to have a small commune of its own, as at the time of using the place I was 14 - 15 so I wasn't allowed around there for obvious reasons, however the one time it was freezing and I needed and area to warm up in, the place looked well kept with fairly nice kitchen, and once again a lovely community inside the place, that's all I can really say about the place, if you're looking to play golf I would definetaly recommend the place!
