It was a great hike to get to the Wilhelmina falls starting from the SEC campground. Amazing place.

YOU CANNOT SEE THE FALLS FROM THIS PLATFORM!The pics people have put up of the falls are from another place below this.It is a decent view of the hills but the falls are in overgrown trees below. Go another ten minutes downhill to see them; it's a rocky and steep scramble for the fit only, but worth it.

Definitely a hard trail to get there. The view is incredible but the falls are barely visible from here. I recommend trying the viewing platform a few steps down. Only attempt this if you are good at hiking! Difficulty level is definitely a 4/5.

Wilhelmina Falls Viewing Platform
It's a long uphill walk to the top. Probably a 40 minute steady walk from the SEC Campground (best place to start your walk) up to the falls. Permanent handrails in spots help scrambling over the large rocks and be careful in the wet as the rocks and ground generally can get slippery. The viewing platform is ok, but before you head up the main metal staircase (or on the way down if you prefer) be sure to take a slight detour to the base of the main falls area. Not much room for many people but a nicer view of the falls IMO

Make sure you walk a little beyond the access point to walk up to the viewing platform so you can see the whole of the falls.

Simply breathtaking is all one can say. Its within reach of most people. Do yourself a favour and see it for yourself. The walk is great too, well marked and clear. Might be a little muddy and slippery if raining conditions..

Wilhelmina Falls Viewing Platform
Beautiful walk and descent from the Scenic Reserve carpark. Quite a long walk but well worth it for the views at the end! Lots of steps down to the bottom of the cascade (or ascending upwards), and you can carefully venture out towards the cascades if you're careful. Great for photos and we took our dog with us (there were no signs to say no dogs allowed at the time of visiting).

Wilhelmina Falls Viewing Platform
Hard trail to walk upto the Falls. Quite physically demanding. We had a 3y & 7y old with us. Very unusual falls in the sense that in Mar-18 you see a sheet of water flowing down across a granite bedrock. Perhaps more water during wet season. Then again the trail will be slippery. Better try during summer.
