Good store with wide range of outdoor gear. Usually great member deals. If you are after hiking shoes ask if Michael is around. Very friendly service, expert knowledge and no pressure. I was happy to find an excellent mid hiker from Zamberlan.

Went into the store for the first time. We were surprised that all the staff we saw were young people. I would like to compliment whoever trained them, they all had excellent customer service. We were particularly impressed by the lovely young man who helped us carry a bulky fridge freezer to our car. When we realised it wouldn't fit, he then kindly removed it from the box so it would fit and then disposed of the box. Very impressed

Usually slow at the checkouts but mostly tolerable. I don't think these guys understand what customer service is. When there's 10 people waiting in the checkout queue and one person serving and 2 or 3 other staff gormlessly wandering through the checkout on stock duty. You'd think they'd drop their stuff-that-can-be-done-later jobs and pitch in and serve. Or at least acknowledge the growing queue.Most of the staff are very young so that's 100% bad training from management.

Brought a fishing rod first time using itUsing super light tackle the rod snapped in half and was told it had to be looked at by the manufacturer was told I would hear back by the end of the week. End of the week comes and still haven’t heard a thing I don’t see why if it’s well under a week old not a scratch on the thing and it’s snapped clean in half they need to have it looked at. Save your time and money go shop elsewhere for fishing equipment
