Waratah Roadhouse

Amazing veggie burger, would 100% recommend for anyone driving through or staying in Waratah. Customer service was great besides supporting Australia Day which is not hectos. I’d also avoid the chicken curry pie at all cost…

Extremely disgusted with the customer service I experienced here, on multiply occasions! Very nasty rude ladies run the ‘show’ , I wouldn’t order food here or waste your time as they only cook when it suits them and will abuse you if it doesn’t suit them. Don’t call to order food more than once or they’ll abuse you. Attitude is disgusting.

I don't normally leave bad reviews but I was extremely disappointed by the service and attitude we received this morning. We went in at 9.30am to get some breakfast as recommended by the pub the night before. We ordered 2 bacon and egg burgers and she told us there would be a wait as she was already doing another order which was fine with us. There was no other hot options prepared so we asked if she could add 2 more burgers to the order for the kids, she then rudely declined our request and said she was too busy because she had freezer items to put away and that we would have to cook something ourselves or go somewhere else! When we ask where else to go she said there was no where else in town! I certainly hope she was just having a bad day and doesn't treat other customers like this!

Great little road house got a couple of lamingtons that were really nice. The ladies behind the counter were also very friendly. Worth stopping in for a snack if you’re on passing through Waratah.

Great hospitality friendly staff and a bonza bacon and egg roll. If you like your coffee hot, this is the place for it!

lady at counter was so lovely and energetic. I visited two weeks ago and bought lamb from the freezer. after I ate it I looked at the packet too see it expired over a month before hand! it was in the freezer and dint make me sick luckily. other than that prices were decent considering location.

If there are lovelier, friendlier more grateful cafe/roadhouse staff/owners in Australia, they've met their match. These two ladies are phenomenol. But that's not the best bit. The BEST bit is the coffee. Life's too short to drink bad coffee and here it is superb. I was glad I got a double shot small, but it was exceptionally good. Then we come to the food. THE BEST steak sandwich I've ever eaten. The steak juicy and melt in the mouth, and with the lot.....game over. The hamburger with the lot was also delicious with the home made patty. Did I mention the coffee? Yea, but it's worth reinforcing how good it was. But wait ,there's more....driveway service, and in the middle of nowhere. Fuel was a bit dearer than the larger places, but they're miles away. I'd drive here just for the tucker, it's that good. I forgot the general store shelves. If there's something you want that's not here, you really don't need it.

yesterday I had the best hamburger I have had in ages - and the town is beautiful.
