Amazing spot. Toilets were pretty gross, but nothing a good clean wouldn't fix.

The place is ok, and there are a few spots to set up. Its state forest so minimal is the most you get. Has a picnic table at one site, and there is a long drop available. There is a pond that you could get washing water from and plenty of wood around for fires, but you will need a saw as it's left over logging stuff. The weather can be quite surprising, do not make the mistake of thinking it is the same as Nundle. When I stayed at the end of April, Nundle was a lovely and Sunny 24. This campground at the top was about 12 degrees, windy and wet, and much worse overnight. It's suits an overnight stop or a place to use a base, not a long stay

Lovely camp ground, long drop dunnys could do with a clean but better than some I've seen. Does get hot in summer with shade somewhat limited. All in all I'll go back for camping and hunting in the area. Also super close to nundle township.

Just stopped by there yesterday 18/7/21....nice place for camping.Was snowing to which was so nice.Massive wind storm has caused many trees to fall over around the place huge limbs of trees everywhere on the ground....so if its windy avoid this place as its realy dangerous.

Awesome campground with loads of timber easily available for well placed fire pits, and lovely lakes. Toilet needs to be bulldozed.

Just come back from camping under the Giant Poderosa pines. Ample caravan parking. Great camping spot. Being so high, weather is very changeable. Cool in Feb 21. Max 25 nights 12 or less. Fossicking, bush walking.

Nice Park Filled with hunters. I do not recommend this for camper or 4WDs

Would be better if there was a proper toilet there rather then the drop on toilet...

For a free and very peaceful place to camp it's OK, just make sure you've got water and firewood... And loo paper.

A great campsite beside two dams, has toilets, rubbish bin and fireplaces. My most favourite campsite. There used to be taps with running water but they have been removed in recent years. Does get busy at peak times like Easter. Expect Trail Bikes to make a bit of noise on the weekends.
