Discovered a new favourite local for Cantonese food.Hubby was at the footy so Miss16 and I opted for an easy early meal close to home after I picked her up from swimming. I've been wanting to try Chef Lin Kitchen for a while and happy to have finally made it as the food was simple but delicious, generous servings, quick and reasonably priced. We had the chicken chow mien and sweet and sour pork which are our go-to comfort dishes and it was right up there in taste and quality.It is more of a takeaway place but there are some tables in the indoor courtyard area of the old GPO which is shared with a few other restaurants which was quite pleasant. Perfect for a quick and easy Fri night dinner. Will be back.

This place is literally a hole in the wall place at Gordon in the arcade. Do yourself a favour and visit this place. The guy who owns this was one of the chefs at Golden Century. Every dish is fresh, hot, tasty and reasonably priced. Best Chinese restaurant in Gordon bar none. They have a Chinese menu and westerner menu too. I know there’s other places in Gordon that do Chinese but these guys do it the best. The quality of the ingredients is what takes it over the line. My favourites are Szechuan chicken, prawn cutlets, spring rolls, Mongolian lamb, bbq pork and Chinese greens and the last time I went we had the bean curd in egg yolk (OMFG the best thing I’ve eaten in a long time). I’ve been there once a month since it opened and happened across it the second day it opened. It’s a go to for us.

Very friendly service, budget price with high quality food. Average is about $25 per head. It is a hidden treasure in Upper North Shore.

Ordered via UberEats and took almost 2 hours to get to my house. When it did arrive it was completely the wrong order. I've ordered from here and did not enjoy that time either. I won't be ordering from here again. I miss Noodle City!

Excellent authentic Chinese restaurant. It's small. It's a hidden gem. It's cheap & cheerful. Ask for the steam fish, it's not on the menu - an insider secret. Really good food. This chef deserves more recognition. 6 stars!

Dishes are delicious, adequate portion and good price. But sometimes take a bit time for dish to be served on table due to many take aways order in the kitchen.

We visited this recently opened Cantonese-style food restaurant for a weekend dinner and followed-up with another weekend lunch.In our dinner we ordered two dishes with rice i.e. the combination omelette and stir-fried seafood w/ veggies plus a nice wonton dumpling soup. All dishes taste nice and prepared with fresh, good ingredients. We especially love the dumpling soup which was an authentic Cantonese staple with huge pork and prawn meats inside. However, their BBQ pork pastry that we also tried was a bit too crumbly and oily for our liking.In following weekend, we visited the place again to try their brunch-style yum-cha dishes. We ordered a few dumplings e.g. the prawn dumplings (har gow), the pork shu-mai dumplings, the che-zhou dumplings plus their custard buns, onion pancakes and stir-fried rice noodle with XO sauce. All dishes taste quite nice and authentic Cantonese staples, but we especially love their stir-fried rice noodle and fried pancakes. If you spent more than $20, the Chinese tea drink accompanying the yum-cha dishes will be complimentary.The place is quite small with a just a few tables, but the service from floor staff was adequate. Prices on menu are of average value for money, but quite reasonable considering its location in Sydney North Shore. You can pay with credit cards and get charged reasonable 1% surcharge.

Chef Lin makes authentic Chinese food and is also of the highest integrity; tried to insist not charging for a dish because it wasn't up to his standards (for the record the dish in question was delicious). Highly recommended
