I finally found a good school after 3 year's that has good value at heart Great bunch of staff and can trust and know that they will be looked after and enjoy every day of it.110% recommended!!!

This school was so bad it genuinely turned me off teaching for good.I was undertaking my second high school placement at Southern Cross K-12 school in the HSIE department. The teachers within this department were so incredibly miserable, unorganized and unwelcoming that I felt uncomfortable and unwelcome.I couldn't even get allocated a solid mentor teacher without an argument happening because the faculty head was so unorganized.I couldn't even get a DESK, and I was forced to do my lesson planning and work on the morning tea couch, hunching over the coffee table.Whenever it was break time and all the staff were in the staff room, it was whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge. Nothing but nasty gossip about another teacher or whinging about how their lunch wasn't good enough or the 100th time.I am so glad that I had the experience that I did here. And now, as a result, I chose to go down a completely different path in life to such miserable, unwelcoming and bitchy people.Sincerely,Someone who is happy in life.

This is written as a CAUTION to all people who live in the northern rivers and like education. I WAS ASSAULTED BY A TEACHER IN THE MIDDLE OF MY CLASS AT SOUTHERN CROSS SCHOOL K-12 LAST WEEK. I asked to speak with the higher authorities because the teacher was rude, giving me dirty looks, ignoring me and generally overall an extreme HEIGHT OF RUDENESS which I have never before experienced in any educational establishment. She REFUSED ME a higher authority to speak with (claiming she was the higher authority) and sent over a LIBRARIAN who was quite clearly on a power trip, he THREATENED ME, so I started to run to get away from him, at which point he called another librarian and THEY PROCEEDED TO POUND ON ME. THE ONE, SMALL AUSTRALIAN LIBRARIAN KEPT SCREAMING AT ME, I'M GOING TO BREAK YOUR beeping BACK!" REALLY???? ALL BECAUSE I asked to speak with the manager about the lousy service & NOW I'M STUCK WITH MAJOR NECK AND BACK INJURIES FROM THIS ASSAULT - DON'T RISK going to Southern cross school k-12!! As far as I'm concerned

So incredibly happy with this beautiful school. The principal and teachers are warm and genuinely caring, all of the children seem so happy and every care is taken to cater to each individual child’s needs. Southern Cross really stands out as perfect example of how a public primary school should be. My little guy looks forward to going school every day.
