Palmers Oakey Reserve
Be prepared for a gravel dirt road with plenty of steep hills. Also recommend Downloading map as you do not have signal once you enter sunny corner state Park. No signal caused is to get thoroughly lost.Also road not suitable for big trailers and campervans if travelling northbound. Hope this helps. Really wish someone let us know before we tried going here. All that aside. Stunning scenery lots of cows, roos and sheep all over the road and the most spectacular sunset I've ever seen

Palmers Oakey Reserve
Didn't stop at reserve. Stopped other side of river for lunch after a visit to cemetery. If the reserve was maintained, great place to camp. Roads from here lead to Turon Gates, Capertee, Sofala. Lots of great camps along the way! Oh! By the way, it's Palmer's Oakey, not Palmer's Oaky. ☺️ One day, hope to follow the Turon river from Bathurst to the end.

the Grass here is taller than the 4wd. no chance to camp anywhere.

Palmers Oakey Reserve
Very, very small reserve, overgrown with weeds and blackberry bushes. Wombat holes everywhere. Did not stay and moved on to Sunny Corner.
