Jarrod Castaing Landscape Photography & Workshops

I have just returned from a 6 day Patagonia photography workshop (April 2019) with Jarrod. The workshop stops (including Torres del Paine, Los Glaciares National Park, and Mount Fitz Roy) were carefully chosen and researched for workshop participants to enable us to successfully photograph some of the most beautiful locations in Patagonia. Jarrod's photographic advice (both during filming and the use of Lightroom and Photoshop) and general assistance in obtaining the best photographs were very much appreciated and really helped in taking the best pictures possible.

Just completed my 4th workshop with Jarrod in Iceland & Norway in winter & YES we got to see the Northern Lights. WOW! What an adventure. The scenery and environment was spectacular. Once again Jarrod was very generous with his time and expertise in all things photography.The personalised tution he provides to his participants ensures you come away with memorable photos. I had the pleasure of doing a 1 on 1 sunrise course with Jarrod. For anyone looking to improve their photography skills from beginner through to advanced I would highly recommend Jarrod. His skills and teaching ability are fantastic. He is very knowledgeable and able to pass on his techniques effortlessly.

I recently attended the 2019 Karijini National Park Photo Tour which was beyond my expectations. Things that made this trip memorable were exploring the canyons, the adventure, the laughs and a fabulous host (Jarrod) . The glamping accommodation added to our experience in outback Australia. Being a small group Jarrod was able to help each one of us on site as well as in post processing. I would highly recommend this tour to others looking to improve their photography while having a blast.

I recently attended both Jarrod’s Iceland and Norway photography tours (March 2019) and can I say I am so pleased I did. I would like to highly recommend both tours as being absolutely fantastic and Jarrod as being the most hospitable and friendly host/photographer/friend that I now like to think of him as, both tours were so well worth attending.Being able to travel to these amazing locations Was made so much easy and so accessible by Jarrod’s wealth of knowledge on both places along with his extensive knowledge of (landscape) photography.Jarrod was able to work with the less confident photographers in the group (me) assisting in camera skills, compositions etc along with helping those with more experience pushing them further with their skills not only shooting at the location but with post processing and comprehensive critique after our daily shoots.The accommodation, vehicle, food stops and ease of the tour with everything coordinated and just been told what time to turn up made for such a great tour. Even more pleasing was Jarrod was able to keep his 100% Northern Lights record on all his tours to date.Thank you Jarrod Castaing, I would definitely recommend you to each and every person and I look forward to seeing you on my next trip.

After recently attending my second tour and workshop with Jarrod, I cannot speak highly enough of the way in which he generously gives his time to each photographer. The sites chosen for our WA sunrise & sunset shoots were ideal and the guidance he gave helped me to make the most of every scene. Jarrod has the ability to see where and when skills can be extended - the sign of a good teacher. Thank you Jarrod for showing me things, both in the field and at the workshops, I would not have normally attempted. I look forward to travelling with you again!

Taking Jarrod Castaing's Iceland workshop was one of the best things that's happened in my photographic career. His guidance and technical skills will set you on a great pace for taking your photography to the next level. His teaching methods are appropriate to anyone from very beginner to complete expert. Not to mention he knew all about the locations we were visiting, and he had a very well planned out trip for us all. A once in a lifetime experience.

Just back from Jarrod’s Iceland and Lofoten workshops and honestly we could not be more thrilled. I had travelled with Jarrod a few years ago to NZ and had looked forward to doing these two trips for a very long time. Jarrod has an incredible knowledge of all things photography, he has a beautiful teaching manner and incredible gift for detail. He showed us so many beautiful locations in Iceland and Lofoten and he simply could not do enough for us. He is by far the best photographer/workshop leader I have ever travelled with. Thank you for a trip we will remember forever.

I have joined Jarrod on two tours (Norway 2018 & Iceland 2020). He puts together a truly amazing trip. The locations, the quality and of course the photo ops, were truly top class. Jarrod is a genuinely talented photographer, he is humble & extremely helpful. Everything is well planned. His knowledge of the locations and the planning that goes into each day is impressive and we were never disappointed.Our trip was full of companionship, laughter and fun. I feel so grateful for having had the opportunity to attend and would highly recommend.
