Went into this place blind as con's was sold out of the specific pies we wanted.I've seen lines here before and thought that was a good omen, service was great, prices were good.... The sausage roll filling had the consistency of mid range canned dog food.Curry pie was below average but at least it got eaten.

I was a bit sceptical reading the reviews on this place, so I went to check it out myself. Unfortunately the negative reviews are pretty accurate. I bought matchstick and a eclair the pastry of both was old and had a cardboard like texture, the cream was fake and left a bad after-taste. I would just avoid this place entirely.

Got some pastries and they were like cardboard! Who knows how long they have been sitting in that display case haha The meringue on our tarts were completely dried out and rock hard, and the filling in the tart was almost non-existent once you managed to get that far. But on the plus side, our 3yr old son loved his treat, although it was pretty much pure sugar and he’s not hard to impress lol Overall would not recommend the tarts haha maybe try you luck with the pies, although the other reviews don’t look that promising lol

Egg & bacon roll were disgusted, it taste like off. I couldn’t believe I took the risk to go there even tho I knew this was a poor review I just felt like a quick egg & bacon roll and I couldn’t finish it off. Regrettably!

Bought a sausage roll and a long black coffee. The pastry on the sausage roll was good, the filling however was not, it had an almost jelly texture and didn't taste like meat. The coffee was definitely burnt, the expresso shot and the boiling water. There were plenty of seating but the tables weren't very clean.

Purchased a variety of slices from here yesterday. They must have been at least a week old, stale and inedible.

My husband enjoys the chicken banhmis here, which is why I often visit. Pies are okay, EXCEPT for the vegetarian pie. Grey filling tasted dry, disgusting and like old peas. Chicken curry pie a better option.

Ive lived in the Blue Mountains for over10 years . This place is typically my cafe of choice . The owners are always friendly and the cakes and coffee are always great .

We bought a matchstick which was 100% off!! 2 of us tasted it just to make sure and yes, both our mouths automatically rejected it's putrid off taste, spitting it out. So we cordially took it back, not asking for our money back or anything in reimbursement, but rather to save anyone from buying the off batch and suffering from food poisoning. When we handed it to the middle aged Asian man behind the counter explaining the above, he quickly took it and ignored what we were saying. He started talking in another language pushing us a new one, as I continued to tell him to taste it himself to find out. He would not eat it!
