One of the best if not the best public school in the state. Dedication of the teachers and attention to detail, spending time with parents to help us out in addressing areas of improvement in the students. Not only ensuring kids get a great knowledge in studies but also as allround skills. I have not enough words to than everyone at GHPS. Please keep doing the great job you'v been doing thus far. Hats off!!!

Sadly, my girls (and I) had to leave the school after only 2 years, but in that time we formed many deep and lasting friendships and found such a welcoming, vibrant community. The teaching staff are motivated and progressive and the academic results speak for themselves. We will miss you GPS!!

One of the best schools in Melbourne. Teachers are good and seem to take a lot of efforts. The school processes and teachings are techno savvy and modern. The demographic of the school is mixed with more than 30% Asian students including Indian. The school organises annual functions, fete, social evenings, carols, athletics day, swimming in term 4, multi day camp, two sports every term and several other activities. Uses a technique called Monster Maths to teach mathematics. Japanese, Cooking, Music and Art as personality development subjects. Projects and presentations every term. No bullying instances have been experienced by any of my friends.

This school lacks consideration for the surrounding community and its neighbour's. We constabtly deal with your patents parking in our drive way or standing in our yard, your rubbish continuously blowing in their yard, your children throwing rocks at pets and the children screaming at our dog. Now the final straw is you building on the fence line without so much as a thought about the affects. Maybe pay for some fence extensions or at least have some courtesy.

Stop your search, you've found the right school. The students are awesome, the staff are awesome, and the parents, are pretty cool too. This is reflected in how highly rated, above the state average, the school scores in terms of student satisfaction, parent satisfaction and very importantly staff satisfaction. And if you haven't realised already, what makes the school different for preps is the separation of the junior school. It is one half of an already small school, and means that when preps start, the biggest kids they'll encounter in the playground are only fractionally bigger, in grade 2. What it means in practical terms, is that kids engage with the other kids, and the way they meet and all know each other, is nothing short of amazing.
