Loved this place, great for water sports of all kinds.Heyfield is the closest town, 6km's away where you have an IGA, cafes, bakery's and take out foods.

Nice views, plus some great information about the history of the weir. It also has an under carriage of a ww2 plane on display, found in the lake.

Good for a short visit especially when the spillway overflows (which it doesn't do every year). Unfortunately you can no longer walk across the weir wall. It is blocked by a serious looking barbed gate with CCTV camera. There are picnic tables, an information centre, undercover tables and public toilets. There seems to be no kiosk. I marked it as '4' as there are far too many signs cluttering up the area and blocking the view - park here, don't park here, don't drink the water, take your rubbish home, watch out for snakes, private residence etc, etc.

Have been here a few times over the last few years. Good for a BBQ with facilities available. Toilets on site. An information room with interesting information in regards to the dam. A play area for the kids. Good to come for a day out.

A cool picnic area overlooking the weir. There are kids playgrounds, toilets and bbq area. The only thing is that this area does not have bins and you have to take the trash with you, and we came during the time when construction work was happening. Maybe good place to rest, but other than that nothing much to do.Also, this place is not where the boat ramp lies. The ramp is on the Sandy Park, 3km away.

Great park and view of the weir and lake. Typical of the era and well done. Not too popular but certainly not lonely so safety feels good. Toilets, many picnic facilities. If only you could walk out onto the weir itself and a few more technical details!!

A lovely place to visit with the family. There are great views of the huge dam wall and across Lake Glenmaggie.A fun playground for the little ones will keep them entertained, with lots of tables and some bbqs surrounding the area. There is also an under cover seating area that included a showroom of the history of the Dam.It’s well worth a visit when in the area along with the other local spots around the Lake.
