BIG4 Opal Holiday Park

Spent 4 nights at this fantastic van park. The staff, amenities and grounds were excellent and we couldn’t have been happier with our stay here. Every park should have amenities like these especially the shower cubicles.Would highly recommend this park.

The best campsite in The Ridge. Lived the facilities, great showers, modern toilet block. Laundry + lines. Lovely camp kitchens + the one by the pool had a pizza oven!Lovely little touches such as the car washing area (you'll need this after the car door tours!), And a giant chess set. The pool is clean and refreshing after a long day.Location is perfect, just slightly out of town but the IGA is walkable if needed. And it's right across the road from the bore water hot baths which we loved.I found the experience for camping not so great, you are rather exposed on the powered sites on hard gravel and it's understandably hard to pitch a tent on the hard red dirt. But they provide a drill of you need it and we were aware of this before arriving.Otherwise a wonderful stay and lovely staff.

We had great service from this lovely caravan park.The office staff were fabulous and they were very helpful.Please ask at their office if you need help with hammering in your tent pegs - they have Hammer Drills they loan to their guests - these make hammering in pegs really easy.We loved it's closeness to the free Artesian hot pool across the road.

Such a beautiful place. The kids loved the pool and able to dig for opals. We as parents loved how always clean the amenities were even through the busiest time of year.

The best Caravan Park in Lightning Ridge … Exceptional service , Even before arrival we were contacted and constantly updated and cared for. Upon check in were were again welcomed in a happy and welcoming manner , The staff ensure you are well informed of all attractions along with the wonderful poets and activities within the park itself . The park itself is spotless and extremely well maintained . The facilities are extremely clean .. The atmosphere within the park is great as people relax around a well maintained facility.. We made use of the doggy day care another wonderful facility.. Well if your looking for a well maintained safe park this is the only one to stay in . If in this region .. Brett

We had a powered caravan siteBig sites . Amenities clean and plenty of them . Hairdryers in the bathroom . Could do with fans in bathrooms as very steamy when out of shower. One of the nicest parks I have stayed at

We stayed at this park for 3 nights on a powered site and couldn't have been happier. It is a large park but the staff were welcoming and we felt right at home. The facilities are immaculate and the artisian baths are just a very short distance away. Would highly recommend.

The caravan sites are very generous and drive through parking a bonus. We loved the plant screening between the sites and the marble gravel kept the sites free of dirt/dust particularly on windy days. Amenities were clean and up to date. This is how a caravan park should be modelled.

We stayed in a family cabin for two nights. The staff at check-in were friendly and helpful. It was clean and comfortable. The park is in a fantastic spot (200m from the artisan baths) and is a great base for adventures around lighting ridge. The kids loved the giant chess board. We were treated to the absolute delight that is Mel & Susie both nights. They're amazing bush poets that were entertaining & had everyone laughing.Would definitely recommend Opal big 4 to everyone.

We had a great stay here. The sites are large and drive through. We were travelling with friends and were given sites together so we could have our awnings facing each other.Dog day care is available at reception for $20 a day.Staff are friendly and helpful. There is a car wash pad and a dump point.The camp kitchens are great and there’s a communal fire lit every night.You can book tours at reception and the buses pick you up from the park.All in all a great park to stay
