No split system, wall heater not working although there was a portsble fan and heater in wardrobe. Exhaust fan in bathroom stuck on with sticky tape and noisy and of course the cheap nasty toilet paper and restrictions on water tap pressure and didn't need to use cold water tap in the shower. Bed very comfortable. The surrounding garden desperately needed to be weeded.

Avoid this hotel! It has been completely let go.Room heater did not work on a very cold night. No electric blankets. No heater in bathroom. No cereal bowls for own breakfast. Sound insulation non existent - noise from next room & people in passage. Garden an over grown jungle. Poor lighting in car park is a danger to guests coming in at night. The only good thing I can say is that the rooms are a good size.Try somewhere else!

Where do I even begin with this hotel? It was a disaster from start to finish.Let's start with the customer service. The staff seemed to have a permanent scowl on their faces, like they hated their jobs and the guests who stayed there. When I asked for some extra towels, the receptionist rolled her eyes and let out a loud sigh. And when I asked the manager for some help with a problem in my room, they were even worse. They had the most condescending attitude, like they were doing me a huge favor just by acknowledging my existence. But the real kicker was when I had to deal with a billing issue. It was a mistake on the hotel's end, but the manager refused to admit fault and instead blamed me for the problem. They were so rude and unprofessional that I couldn't believe it. I even overheard them talking about me to a colleague in a derogatory way.And then there were the paper-thin walls. I could hear everything - the person in the next room snoring, someone coughing in the hallway. It was like there was no insulation whatsoever.Overall, I wouldn't recommend this hotel to anyone. The terrible customer service, particularly from the manager, ruined the entire experience. If you're looking for a place to stay where you feel welcomed and valued, look elsewhere. This hotel is a complete disappointment.

An absolutely appalling experience with the hotel, staff & room!!!Our room had been booked and entirely paid for several months before our stay in January 2023. Upon arrival I was told that the total amount of approximately $690 was outstanding and the hotel would be charging my credit card for this entire amount. I produced documentation showing the amount had been paid in full and was forced to contact my travel agent on a public holiday to talk to hotel reception. Despite the documentation and talking to staff it was some time before the matter was resolved and despite being totally humiliated, were offered no apology.I had booked a waterfront room and with the exorbitant cost of one nights accommodation, I have to say that when we arrived to our room and found a tree in front of our waterfront we were extremely disappointed. Further, the shower was so small we could barely turn around and we are not big people. Then the towel rack fell off the wall. It just got worse, there was a picture missing off the wall leaving the hanger exposed. I took a photo as I felt we might be accused of theft. The last disappointments in the room was the fact that neither bedside lamp work and I can honestly say the pillows were the absolute worst I have ever used. they were so thin and old that there is really not enough words. On checking out I demanded an apology which I received but only after asking.I have contacted management on 2 occasions to discuss our very disappointing stay and I have still not been contacted. This experience unfortunately ruined our time in St Helens. We had a lovely time in Tasmania but this was the absolute worst experience and would never recommend staying there.

A beautiful place. A very bike friendly hotel. However, it is not a pub. The restaurant charge restaurant prices with the service as if it were a pub. The Thai meals were beautiful. However, the meals were served as individual meals. No serving spoons or dinner plates were offered so you could share the meals. The oysters were served without entree forks. The price of the meals were extravagant. The staff are not trained in hospitality. Dragged off the street and thrown in the deep end to learn on the run. The room was clean. The view from the hotel was outstanding, hence the price. However, the beers and spirits were the cheapest we've had while in Tassie. A huge plus there. Overall a good experience.

Room was on estuary side and had great views from balcony. Hotel was friendly and clean. The bar bistro had fantastic views and the the food was reasonable. My only grip, which in fairness does seem to be common in Australia, was you had to queue to order and pay for your meal and drinks in advance. I couldn’t help but think that if they had the system where you scan the QR code and order on the app, it would at least enable you to replenish your drink without leaving your table.Just as feedback, I also think the extractor fans in the bathroom needed replacing for a quieter one and there needs to be more light.

We arrived 90 mins before normal check in time & were greeted at Reception by very friendly staff who were professional & courteous. We were able to check in early, which was great. Our waterfront room was very clean, heater was already turned on for us, which was very much appreciated. The views were beautiful & we had black swans swimming in the lagoon right outside our room. We had the added bonus of a spa bath which was a lovely surprise & relaxing. We ate at the restaurant & had the biggest lobsters. Our meal was outstanding. All the staff were super friendly. We would definitely stay there again. Thank you.

We had never stayed here before so this was a long awaited treat. The quietness of not being near a highway was truly bliss.. a truly wonderful, comfortable dream like bed was a bliss. Our meals there on site were of great size and full of bursting flavour and we could set the bay from our table. Staff were so helpful and accommodating , ensuring our comfort of our stay.Once we finished our meal we walked out the door on to this massive deck to view the rest of the bay.We finished the evening with a truly relaxing sauna..

Our room was well appointed big clean and the spa bath was lovely. The hotel had a welcoming atmosphere and the fireplace in the main lounge was great meeting place for visitors.
