Warragamba Dam
It is a magnificent dam, which took lots of work to construct, it's not wow, but it's certainly something to visit if you are near. There are plentiful picnic areas and bathrooms and three lookouts to view the dam from. Unfortunately there is no suspension bridge (burned 2001 bushfires) or access to the dam wall on most days. Taking in the dam from one of the lookouts is lovely with fresh wind and greenery coming your way. Many people may find it boring but if you are interested in workmanship and Sydney's Water and the work and effort put into it this is a place to definitely check out and visit.

A nice place to spend some time understanding the history and appreciating the engineering behind Sydney's main drinking water source. No cafe/restaurant within the campus, so bring your own if you are planning to stay longer. Limited access on weekdays, being a working dam. Vast open areas to have a picnic.

Pretty awesome experience to see the vastness of this place. I feel like they could do more to make it visitor friendly seeing as it is such an important t site for us here in NSW.Parking is limited so try go when it isn’t too busy. There were no refreshments available when we went and that is probably an area of improvement. The highlight is definitely the wall itself. Looking over the dam and then down to the tumbling water and feeling the immense energy and power of the site is impressive.

Amazing walk down onto the dam wall, but a tiny bit of exercise to get back up. Clear air, but a bit chilly in May, so bring some warm clothes. If you have time, go to the information centre too, because you will learn some amazing history.

A beautiful place to go! Make sure you bring your walking shoes as there are many places to see. There are a few spots near the viewing platforms but they are normally taken so be aware that if you can't get a spot nearby the other car park has stairs and might be a bit of a walk for the elderly. There is an information centre that gives you a brief look back in time from start to finish of the dam being created. Artefacts from when the dam was built are on display as well. Walk down the side of the information building you can walk down across the bridge to get a better view of the damn. Overall a great place to picnic and everything was for free.

A nice place for a day trip and picnic. Super nice staff at the info center and it has some great historical data about the Dam.Be sure to visit early if you want to have a walk on the Dam itself as they usually close the entrance around 4pm. However you can still visit the lookup points up until 5pm.
