Geláre Karrinyup

I've been a customer at Gelare Karrinyup for about 7 years and I've been coming here almost every week.I usually order the 2 stacks of Nutella banana pancakes and they used to be very good which is why I was such a regular customer. They also had really good coffee which went well with their pancakes. However, over the last few years I have seen the pancakes shrink from good sized pieces (about 15cm across) to almost less than 10cm across. The problem is that it's not just the size that has changed, the mix appears to have changed as well, it's quite crumbly now while it used to be really nice and soft before.I have also been served almost cold coffee and pancakes on multiple occasions which I've had to return and ask for a remake as it's just unacceptable.I don't blame the staff since they wouldn't reduce the quality of the product out of spite of the customers, rather I blame the owner since it's clear that he's trying to save money by doing these things.I personally wouldn't come here anymore as I've been more and more disappointed with every visit and I've basically have had enough.If you want great coffee and pancakes/waffles I would personally recommend going to the Gelare South Perth since they have far better quality products that are at least hot when they serve you.I really hope the owner of Gelare Karrinyup reads this review and improves the quality, but I'm not hopeful.

Has a small waffle with cookies n cream ice cream with chai latte. It was great!

Waffles are always on point, coffee is decent as well.

Coffee was absolutely amazing here, throughly enjoyed my skinny cap! My Children also enjoyed a lovely icecream. Great work guys xx

Had a quick stop for Ice Cream during our afternoon strolling at the mall. Ice cream could have been better in quality, the texture was seen too melty / destabilized on display. We still bought it tho' but it wasnt nice, as expected.

Ordered strawberry nutella waffles, they gave us banana nutella waffles. When we asked they sent another staff member (the one that took our order) and she said are you sure you didn't order banana (don't eat, and never have eaten bananas ever so pretty damn sure I said strawberry). NO APOLOGY was given and instead of taking plate away and fixing issue they just brought strawberries on the side. After pulling off all the banana there was hardly any nutella. I requested if we could at least have more nutella and then another staff member come slam down a small container of nutella not say anything or even look at us. Absolutely appalling service, disrespectful staff members that made us feel like it was our fault. Only to have the table next us receive the wrong order too and when he tried to tell them they didnt change it either and told him it was his fault for ordering wrong. Gelare waffles are good but its worth going to any of the other franchises because this one displays zero people skills.

Great selection of ice cream here as expected. Delicious and freshly made waffles here, love a good tasty crunchy waffle. Staff at ordering counter was lovely and friendly. Only thing that require improvement is maybe extra staffing to wipe down tables as they clear table after people leave so next customer gets a clean table to use.

This was the most amazing waffle I have ever had in my life! So spongy and soft, every bite was a delight & the presentation was adorable. 10/10 would come back! Thank you for a wonderful tasty experience.
