Frango Charcoal Chicken Petersham
Wow. What an experience. Hands down the best chicken burger I’ve ever had. Their chilli sauce was amazing. Very attentive service and great explanation of the menu by our waiters, we were visiting Frango’s from out of area and weren’t too familiar with the place. I will be making a special trip back to Frango’s from the eastern suburbs to try more of their incredible food soon. I just hope they open a location near me - the eastern suburbs is crying out for one.

This place is very busy but surprisingly got our food quick. Had to takeaway as both levels for dining were full. Order whole chicken meal with a pickled vegetable. Overall, everything was tasty. Chicken was very moist and tender. Veges were excellent. Chilli Mayo complemented the chicken well!

Hands down one of the best burger places in Sydney. As of May 2023 they still have $10 burgers! The burgers aren't small either especially when compared to other popular burger chains this one beats them all in terms of taste, size and price.

Place is packed, so need to book . Food is good, specially Charcoal grilled chicken. Sea food rice was good, I wish there were more rice. Sliced potato was crispy.

Had a wonderful experience here a couple of weeks ago. The owner of Frango’s is an outstanding man, he made my son who has a disability feel so comfortable. He was engaging, chatting to him, nothing was an issue. Love meeting people with a heart of gold, thank you!

(Ex) chook shop owner reviews chook shop...but I was genuinely looking forward to trying this place. Service was the highlight, which is dead parrot plumage territory. The sandwich was pretty poor. The chicken had been off the charcoal and under lights for so long it was dusty as an outback paddock. The slaw was better than average, but the ciabiatta suffered from old age in the same way I do. I suspect if you turn up at high turnover time, you may get a chook that better reflects the culture. But on this visit, it was more Lismore than Lisbon.

I love this place, I truly do. The combo #2, chicken burger, chips and a drink, is a thing of legend. The sauces, the chicken salt, the chicken breast, everything combines to make a truly delicious burger. The recent price increases, including having an additional charge to get sauce on the fries, have however made me reconsider this as my go to comfort takeout. To go from $13 for to $17.50 is quite annoying, but I'm hooked so, as we say in Aus, she'll be right.

Frango Charcoal Chicken Petersham
Fantastic local traditional Portuguese.I visit frangos at least once a fortnight.The food is fantastic, I usually order with my friends beef skewer, chicken, chips and the garlic clams. All their food is delicious and can’t complain.We always dine in and get great service upstairs.Couldn’t recommend a better place and very reasonably priced.
