The Rental Managers

I have a very poor review of the rental managers.Extremely poor communication.When there is no problems all good no correspondence.When all isn't good no correspondence.Cost me when tennants moved out time before last.I paid for cleaning.Inspected property property still skid marks on both toilets.Cleaned place myself it was a brothel.Anyway you learn by your mistakes.Having said that when Belinda returned to the agency I can not praise her enough she is a top notch professional.I don't necessarily think there is a better company in Townsville in the property management.But I thought it is time to flip the coin and give someone else a go.

During tenancy they were quick to issue any repairs or maintenance that was required and always friendly when phoning them with questions. Please don't go through their recommended bond cleaner Teamwork cleaning. They said if the place needed recleaning on vacate they would call the bond cleaner back but when the bond cleaner did a terrible job, they told me I had to sort it out and I nearly lost my bond over it. So don't bother paying the extra money to go through their recommended bond cleaner. Avoid teamwork cleaning at all costs and go through your own.Hence why only 3 stars because real estate wasn't helpful regarding this issue and needs to find a better bond cleaner to recommend to tennants.

Unfortunately, my partner has rented 2 properties through the Rental Managers. Both times they have attempted to keep all the bond, and then some, for pre-existing shotty DIY work/damage/dirt/insects or general wear and tear. Fortunately, he took photos, however, still has to waste time dealing with the RTA as the Rental Managers don't appear to do their job correctly. They are unbelievably blasé about their unprofessionalism.As an owner, I would not even consider them to manage my property, and would recommend to both tenants and owners alike to avoid at all costs. Their poor reviews are there for a reason.In Reply - as an owner I chose to go with a professional agency that doesn't cause me or my tenant any grief. All the poor reviews are not lies, as you seem to imply.

When you see someone said run away from this agency, they mean it, no joke.The funny part is they have bad reviews from landlord, tenant and even other property agencies.To every landlord, please rethink:If you love your home, you want someone to well manage your property, The rental manager’s treatment to tenant will only bring trouble to your house.Trust me, they are more far away from “managing” your house.To every tenant, please rethink:Unreasonable bond deduction is nightmare right? You think you can take photo of every part to avoided it? Why wasting time on something when you already know they are bad.I love Townsville, the business have this kind of bad attitude should be exposed as there are more good business worth for us to support. Instead of some business only exploit the community.Thank you Suzy “serviced ” Townsville people for 30 years, wish you have a happy retirement sooner! :)

Worst experience with real estate agency I've ever had.Have to fight endlessly to have even essential repairs done, even leaving me unable to secure my unit for months.The problems I had with this mob were endless and the repercussions are still badly affecting me to this day.Highly recommend to avoid this agency at all cost.

One star is one too many. Avoid at all costs. After a job change, I rented my house out through Suzy Clark at The Rental Managers. I was sold on their claim to be specialist property managers who would look after my property as I was a distant absentee landlord. What I got Over a period of 10 years was a company that took their commissions but just didn’t care. Tenant selection was poor and I had two sets of tenants default on rent and do midnight flits leaving the house a mess as well as debt. Inspections were rudimentary and maintenance issues not properly followed up. The final straw was they engaged an unlicensed handyman as a builder to rebuild the deck which was rotting and had become dangerous. The work was substandard and failed to meet the building code and the property could then not be re-let. In the end, I was forced to sell a rundown, unlettable, derelict property for a capital loss of around $300K. Throughout this debacle, Suzy ignored all correspondence, even legal letters of demand. I have moved on as life is too short to go to war with the least professional property management business I have experienced. For others considering using the services of The Property Managers, be aware that Suzy Clark cares only about Suzy - not you her client and certainly not your property.

As a tenant I found the service below poor. Would request maintenance for things to be fixed sometimes waiting weeks, or even ignored completely. Agreements in writing ignored when lease renewal came up. Have never met or spoke to the 'property manager'. I've never experience such poor property management.We stay because we love the house, to bad you cant choose the real estateEdit- We have vacated and were finally put in touch with our property manager. Belinda was fantastic! Absolutely lovely, wish we had come into contact with her before hand. Perhaps our experience wouldn't have come out like this. My 1 star is now a three. Only for her.

I was suggested these real estate agents as I was looking for a couple of rentals to settle my mates into as I find myself as a voluntary support person for them.Great they accept those and give first chances to people who haven't have had a rental history, easy application process but if you don't read the lines properly you can easily see these real estate agents are very pushy, demanding, narcissistic and very hypocritical.Just weeks after moving in my friends/clients were presented with an issue with the roof, filled out appropriate paperwork and around 4 months later it hasn't been fixed. Even after many times to interact during inspections they would not do anything. One also had another problem with the sliding door and they refused to fix it. Even after bringing these issues up they recieved breaches for them. They were none of their doing.If you're looking for a serious rental property to live in, do not bother with these guys. They just take your bank and do nothing about it. They're very rude and have an attitude whenever having a professional conversation. In my opinion, look for someone else more reliable.

I have been a loyal customer of The Rental Mangers for over 12 years. Through careful mismanagement and lack of communication, you too can see your band new house get transformed into a slum and be left in a state which made it hard to even sell. They refuse to return withheld money from me and are still charging me a monthly admin fee. Strongly recommend avoiding..
