I’ve not eaten Afghani food before so l asked the serving staff for advice. They were very helpful on advising on the most popular meals. We were not disappointed. It was fantastic. Can’t recommend this place enough.

I had the mix grilled plate for two, plenty for 2 people. Meat was so tasty and a bit spicy as well. But overall it was a good experience

Bamiyan modern Afghan cuisine Five Dock is one of my favorite restaurants. We eat there all the time, the food is so tasty!!, amazing, unique flavors. Open 7 days dinner and lunch.Highly recommend for any occasion❤️

Bamiyan Restaurant Five Dock
We love this restaurant, such a generous sumptuous feast. Love the decor and atmosphere. The restaurant is easy to miss because it is above street level, but this adds peacefulness to the ambiance, making it feel more like you were transported somewhere new and exciting. My nephews adore this place. Good on them for putting so much feeling and passion into the restaurant and food.

Lovely and family friendly setting. Staff are nice very friendly, though they did forgot to bring one of the dishes until it was brought to their attention later on. Food has good authentic taste. Good parking options.

My husband and I took some friends to try Afghan Cuisine and in honest opinion we regretted going there. We ordered a banquet per person, and we’re disappointed with the amount of portion sizes that was came in this banquet. Kabouli Palow came out with literally 5 sultanas and carrots on a dinner plate serving between 4 adults. We ordered extra sultanas and carrots and that seemed be an issue getting it to the table. Wait Staff were not attentive, multiple add on food requests were ignored throughout the night. Afghan Manager/ Owner also rude considering how warm and exciting our guests were to go there. It would be nice to see Afghan wait staff/servers working there that know the authentic menu especially for non Afghan guests. I wouldn’t waste a single dime there again. Over priced and a overall a disappointing experience.

Why there have no 0 star we can give?Didn’t have in restaurant but order a take away, tikka kabab only have 6 chicken or 8 lamb which spend $20 each. Interesting , did you feed your lamb and chicken by gold or diamond?

We had lamb skewers n eggplant dish. Im rating the taste of the food, very nice. Skewers were generous but the eggplant dish was small.

Having never been to an Afghani restaurant before I had no idea what to expect, this place blew me away. Everything was fresh, delicious and Moorish. My favourite would have to be their dumplings and potato stuffed naan. Can't wait to return.

Bamiyan Restaurant Five Dock
Four of us shared Kabuli Pilal, Ashak dumplings, Bamiyan chicken grill skewers and daal sabzi for dinner last night and we enjoyed everything. The owner served us and was very helpful. We were only sorry we didn't have room for desert! Will have to try that next time.
